2015-2016 Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Maybe, but with Markell Johnson possibly in the fold and reclassified and Micah Potter seemingly underrated after blowing up this year at Montverde, it could be crowded.

Isn't Potter a stretch 4? And Johnson committing still isn't a sure thing...even with those 2 coming, makes no sense to me, unless there is more to the story.

Mickey Mitchell gone...
WTF... We are going to be super thin next year... What is going on...

They're going to lose 4/5ths of their 2015 class before their sophomore year. That would be fine if this were Kentucky or Duke :chuckle:

If you know you are stuck at the end of the bench and have no plans to play, and you can go somewhere else and play, then go ahead. But if you are getting time and saying how you like it, why the fuck leave?

Kids are so dumb and are so impatient. Just want everything handed to them.

Goddamn millennials (grumble, grumble).

If the Harris transfer gets confirmed, Ohio State will be at 9 scholarship players for next season. NCAA limit for D1 is 13. I'm guessing Andre Wesson commits in the next few weeks. They're still waiting to see if Markell Johnson can reclassify to 2016, and I'm guessing they try for 1 grad transfer, whoever that may be at this point. That would put them at 12 for next season with Loving set to graduate and perhaps a grad transfer.

Enough is enough. Time to move on from Thad. The ship has practically sunk.

There has to be something brewing...this is crazy...

Rumors that the freshman class doesn't get along with the seniors, or each other. Ridding themselves of the virus makes some sense, if true.

They can get by next year with a 7-8 man rotation of Lyle, Tate, KBD, Kam, Loving, TT and maybe a grad transfer. One or two of the freshman could play immediately as well.

They'll need to do work in 2017's class to prevent this from becoming and bigger issue.

Abandoning ship now doesn't make a ton of sense, and ignores Thad's history.

It's simply a knee jerk reaction to a problem which might not even exist within the current team dynamic.

I know they are looking at Cullen Neal who I've seen play against NMSU the last few years (meh IMO).

But man, this is weird to see under Thad. 4 of the 5 Freshman transferring out isn't all from "not getting along with the Seniors"...for one, did the team even have any seniors last year? This just seems fishy to me because I've never seen this under Thad...

Shouldn't have said Seniors, but the upperclassman and other members of the team.

Shit, I wouldn't get along well if Loving was getting all those shots and PT either with his shit effort he gives...

This is just weird, is it not? Personally not a fan of Mitchell and his game, but, supposedly, all but 1 of your freshman class out of 5 is leaving in less than a year...not sure I have ever seen that.

And I will say this before people jump off ship...team still returns its top 6 scorers from this past season...don't think they will be as bad as people are starting to say they will be.

Agree, if you can add a graduate transfer to the backcourt and one of those freshman can play as a rotation big, it will be alright. Getting Markell Johnson could provide a boost as a natural PG.

Looking 2-3 years down the road, however, that's a big gap.

Thad has a history of all his freshman transferring after one season?

His recent history certainly shows that the new players coming in won't be very great.

I think Gene needs to start searching and do his due diligence looking at candidates. If you can upgrade, pull the trigger.
