RCF NBA Re draft simulation League -Free agency period

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anybody who wants the Clippers can have them

I have updated and added a player skills chart as an example

I have updated some things on the op. please review and post questions here.
There was complaints about the auto pick. this function was stated well before the draft began. had people preferred skipped picks or another option. it could of been discussed then. if you have any concerns post them so they can be reviewed. once a step goes live. It is probably too late at that time athough I do try to be flexible when merited.

I just finished a simulated season on NBA 2K. I only did the first 8 rounds of draft picks, and a few picks got messed up, but the result from season 1 was Miami as the champions.
Eastern Conference
1- CHA: 53-29 (Highest point diff at +5.9)
2- DET: 49-33
3- MIA: 49-33 (Highest fg% at .482%)
4- BOS: 47-35
5- CHI: 42-40
6- IND: 40-42 (Highest APG= 25.4)
7- PHI: 39-43
8- CLE: 38-44

Western Conference
1- PHX: 52-30 (109.4 ppg = highest in the league)
2- DAL: 49-33
3- SAC: 48-34
4- MIN: 47-35
5- MEM: 46-36
6- NO: 45-37 (Highest 3PT%= .395)
7- UTA: 43-39
8- OKC: 42-40
Just missed: SA 41-41, LAL 41-41, POR 40-42

Extra notes: Russ= MVP, Nerlens Noel= DPOY, Buddy Hield= ROTY,
Surprise 2nd team All-NBA= Gordon Hayward, Highest OPPG at 108.1= Orlando, Highest RPG= Golden State,

Like I said, I only had the first 8 rounds. Kind of interesting that the team with the number 1 pick ended up winning year 1.

I also wanted to note that the idea of a more competitive balance in the league was absolutely realized. 15 teams had between 43 wins and 36 wins.

Transferring a post into this thread per request. Remember, this is just a rough draft.

A team led by LBJ got less than 38 wins?
I call bs.

holy shit @jking948 im 10 games into my sim and paul george is average 38ppg for your lakers

Those instructions at the beginning do i have to do anything right now?
Depends on how organized you want to be.

League News
so I have been running the multi mode manager sim and some thing have become apparent.
Contract Extensions - I will select the cheapest option per year. I cant go through 100 or so contracts and ask everyone which offer they want.
++ if you want to extend a guy at max years offered for more money I can do so if request ( which wouldn't occur until the current season has ended. )

The Multi mode will be very time consuming maintaining rosters so therefore we will go with monthly not weekly simulations.

Also 2-5 free agents will refuse to sign with their teams. there is no override for this. They might refuse because they don't like their role, the teams performance. minutes played, etc.

first season will be 13 man rosters. the next season you will have two draft picks. at this time the roster will raise to 15. each draft season (unless you traded your pick) you will have to decide to keep your draft picks or release someone else. You'll have until the beginning of the next regular season to decide.

We will use the sims draft lottery for pick order.

As of now we are using the sim draft. some guys will have similar names and on very rare occasions the same name as other players.
I looked at the custom drafts and they are more suited for legacy leagues trying to rewrite the past.

The sim tries to put the best five players as starters. It really doesn't focus on positions outside of G/F/C. I will request rosters in a format ranking 1-13 with the top 5 being your starters. You will be able to change your starters after every simulated event.

Trade process will be launched soon. I still need to determine Cap, Tax level, and min salary and put the tools in place to manage your current rosters.

So can we start sending you our 1-13 lists?
