2016-2017 Around The NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No Wade, no Butler, so Rondo gets minutes. Bulls are a mess.

With all due respect, Freddy Hoiberg isn't doing shit in Chicago. Rondo or not, you gotta have continuity.

And I just watched Rondo blow past his man and skip pass to a open 3 point shooter in the corner. Then he blows past his man again to finish a high arching layup. BUT THAT'S NOT NEEDED HERE!!

What do you know, he blows past his man yet again for a easy finish. Rondo is +12 in a few minutes. Eat that -20.

Rondo really handling this "like a professional." Guy is a headcase. Literally calling out his coach - who is already on the hot seat - in front of the media. Clearly he wants out of Chicago, but this is a classic example of how a guy like Rondo can ruin a team very quickly.

I'd be pissed too if someone lured me to a job then demoted me with little to no explanation as to why within a few months for people who are worse than me at my job...

This falls in line with what I felt he was going through, and why I keep laughing at people acting like he was just benched and that's why he's pissed. He's pissed that they broke the promises they made to him to get him to sign there this summer, and I don't blame him 1 bit for venting that...that Bulls front office has been a trainwreck for sometime now, and I put this more on them than Rondo right now with what we've heard to this point.

But the dilemma is that someone telling Rondo he would be their starting point guard does not inherently means he is entitled to be their starting point guard. Rondo was their starter for 2.5 months. It wasn't working. The Bulls knew he wouldn't accept that so they tried to trade him. Hence why he was benched.

Rondo has been absolute shit all season. That's even true when the Bulls were winning. He deserved to get benched. And while it sucks for him, he's still on the team, and attacking your coach because you played poorly is a shady move to me, especially when you are fighting the "bad teammate, bad personality" stereotype.

How much of him "being absolute shit" has been because the obvious poor fit with Wade and Butler didn't work though? And I don't necessarily agree on him being "absolute shit" this year, all things considered.

And again, if they said something to him to get him to go there, then reneged on that with little to no explanation, you really want me to sit here and tell him to just take it? Put yourself in that position and take it...I wouldn't be able to if someone pulled that shit with me.

And he's fighting the "bad teammate, bad personality" for a select group who still think hes in Dallas, which was, for some reason, just terrible. Not a peep about him being a "bad teammate with bad personality" in Sacto last year, and a bunch of the Bulls lockerroom publicly saying he has been great in the lockerroom even while going through this situation.

If he is publicly picking bones with the people who pitched him stuff they didn't keep their word on, I don't blame him...and this sounds like it would all go away if Hoiberg would actually communicate with his player as to why/what he wants from him moving forward...though we are only hearing the players side of the story to this point, so who knows.

The Bulls have turned into a mutated monstrosity since they fired Thibbs

I thought that was a big mistake even though he rides his players hard

The shiny new coach isn't always the answer

Just noticed cross-eyed former Cavalier Brendan Haywood doing halftime commentary on NBA TV.

Derrick Rose headline reads he "talked about walking away from basketball."

When is the next time we read a headline about Rose regarding his actual play on the court?

This dude is such a drama queen.

Jesus hell give it a rest dude. Why in the world would you make Rajon Rondo a hill to die on in every fucking thread.

It's because he likes getting paid 20+ million to play basketball. He probably isn't sure if he can stomach playing for less; which is going to happen if he chooses to keep playing. He comes off as a guy that doesn't enjoy playing basketball anymore. Also, his intelligence has always been a question mark.

He might tear an ACL doin' that......better be careful.
