2016-2017 Around The NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know that John Wall has received some All Star selections, but I still think he is underrated. This guy is an elite athlete, one of the few point guards that can really play defense, and just is a truly gifted passer. He routinely throws anticipatory cross court passes with pinpoint accuracy like LeBron does. Wall and CP3 are the last of a dying breed of dominant pass-first point guards (in the vein of say Jason Kidd or John Stockton). I don't think he is quite on the level overall of Westbrook/Harden/Curry/CP3 just yet, but he really isn't that far off if you consider his overall impact.
Washington's terrible development and injuries have stalled his progress. He's great , but should be even further along.

Someone is going to give Otto Porter a huge contract.

I'm not positive it will work out, but I think he's better than Harrison Barnes.

Now, is that enough to be a max player in my mind? No. Dallas will regret that contract they gave Barnes going forward. But, point is, I think if someone was willing to give Barnes that money, someone will give it to Porter too.

Porter's efficiency this season has been, well, insane.

I hope someone gives him a big contract, I want to see what he can do in a bigger role.

Like seeing him do well. He was my guy in 2013.

Man, Isaiah Thomas gets some calls that I've never seen anyone in the history of the NBA get. Who would have thought being 5'9" would actually be an advantage. Last 2 minutes on the road and he's getting no-touch calls. Shit is awful.

He also let Jerian Grant - who is a nice, young player, but hardly an offensive dynamo - abuse him in the third quarter. He's a good player, but I don't think he's in the top-three of East PGs.

Holy cow... the ref on the baseline watched to see if that shot went in, then called it.

Karma...they're about to lose on a ticky-tack no-touch foul.

Never understood why players try to take the last shot when they are down, so stupid, try to go for a quick good shot, if you miss try to rebound or extend the game with FT's

With Love being out, nice to gain a little ground tonight.
