Welcome Deron Williams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
yep, already in my top 7 of this team. He keeps this up and he is first man off the bench. Also would pay him whatever he wants to stick around.

Dude just gets it, and with lebron its basically magic

He's going to have to really really want to stay because as we don't have his Bird Rights, the most we can offer him is the taxpayer MLE(about 5 million this offseason)

He's made a lot of money but still might be offered something much more or even an opportunity to compete for a starting job somewhere.

Really starting to acclimate with the team well. LeBron is getting more open rim runs down the middle o the defense than he did even when Delly was here because Deron is just a better PnR guy.

Now if he can develop a little better chemistry with the interior bigs and Korver(He does a good job finding Frye for 3), we'll be in great shape.

And he is not a bad defender, he struggles with super quick point guards, but doesn't everyone? Thats just how the NBA is. But he plays physical, hard nosed defense, hes very strong and good at busting through screens, and he's got those nifty veteran moves like grabbing, pushing, etc without fouling too much.

Very pleased with Deron right now. I knew he would become a great pick up, PG's just have a tough tough time acclimating to a new team on the fly, especially one that employs LeBron James. Add in regular season chill mode and I think that contributed to him not loking great for awhile. But he has looked good this series and will continue to get better. He is by far the best back-up PG until the Finals v Livingston

Good game tonight. I said in game 1 he should be the defender against Lance and he did a nice job on that.

I don't know if it's the small sample size, or the LeBron effect, but I didn't realize he was as good a catch and shoot guy as he's shown thus far.

He's a pretty solid defender when he wants to be. After watching kyrie die on every screen he looked like tony Allen.

Another backup that looks better than your superstar with Lebron.. Don't know why Kyrie can't initate a decent PnR action with Lebron.. It seems so easy at times.
His defense was great and he was engaged.
Kyrie is clearly injured or some shit and without a good Kyrie, Cavs are toast.

Kyrie is too concerned with highlight reel moves than a basic pnr. That's not fun to him.

Deron is the right player to match up and defend Lance Stephenson. He is tall enough, strong enough, quick enough. That is one of the reason we were able to shut the Pacers down in the second half after failing in the first half. Deron took Stephenson out of the game better than anyone else that guarded him.

This...take...too...hot...to...touch. Another backup? Deron Williams is a 3X all-star, 2X gold medal winner, and will likely be top 10 in assists all-time when he retires. When you pair that type of guy with Lebron, these are the results you see.

The handful of people that were giving him shit when he first joined our team should've known better. He's an old vet that isn't going to blow his load in the regular season. He knows this is his first real shot at getting to the Finals for the first time in his career. He conserved energy by taking a week off and then joining in on the collective "chill" our team enjoys during the regular season. He's a great change of pace guy to have on this team, especially when Irving is choosing when to play defense.

With that said, Irving dropped 37 points last game on a very efficient shooting night. If that's him playing "injured or some shit", i'll take it. Irving has already cemented himself as one of the most clutch players in Cavs (and arguably NBA) history with his GM 7 performance last year.

Bacon Grease's defense was what was most impressive... Definitely never wanna see him on the floor with Irving ever again....
