Preseason WK 1: Browns vs Saints

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can we just play this damn guy? Make him the starter. This whole "ruining the QB" thing is absurd.

Yeah, im pretty sure Kizer will be the next guy to get his shot.

And btw, Kessler might have to fight to stay on the roster. Dude is just not good, he is Josh McCown pt. 2

I noticed Carder was out of position/missed sure tackle about 3 times this drive. I really hope Schobert can pass him up.
I can't imagine is using an mlb a ton, but I agree.

Never going to be a question of arm talent with Kizer. He has that and the ability to slide and reset in spades.

It all boils down to accuracy and processing speed. If he can get both of those to acceptable levels, he can be a very NFL QB good.

His processing speed looked decent at times. That pump fake into the first bomb was a thing of beauty. That is a Big Ben, Elway, Favre type play. If any Brown's QB since the return attempts that (outside of DA) it is underthrown.

I want to see more of the kid. I don't think he should start preseason game 2. If he looks good in that game make him the g3 starter and the season starter.

The impatience I'm reading is staggering. Sure he had some success tonight. The coaching plan was perfect for him to enjoy that taste of success. The defense he faced had 3rd stringers, the defense wasn't scheming to confuse him. It's a vanilla defense in the preseason, which is why Williams played a lot of 4-3. There's such a huge difference between a second half preseason game and opening night of the regular season.

I still believe Kizer is going to start a significant number of games, my money is on right after the bye, but arm strength and pocket presence is just a small part of the transition to the NFL. Hue set him up to succeed tonight, maybe his plan going forward will work as well.

Kizer needs to start. Carder and cam Erving don't belong anywhere near the first team. And peppers needs more defensive snaps.

With all due respect, hes also playing with guys who mostly will not be in the NFL, so I think thats a poor excuse.

The only excuse is the vanilla defense, and every qb went through that. What Kizer did was head and shoulders above everyone else, enough to out him in the conversation.

Watched the recap, great awareness in pocket, great arm, but on my phone appeared to stare guys down a bit
