Which of these torch wielding marchers isn't advocating for white supremacy.

It's literally a white supremicist march.

Watching people defend this is staggering.

And of course, the Presidents weak ass position kind of sums it up.
White nationalism isn't necessarily white supremacy. You're throwing all these terms around as synonyms when they have distinct meanings.

White Nationalist - one who advocates for a white ethnostate. They may or may not believe in white supremacy. Being a white nationalist does not necessarily make one a white supremacist.

White Supremacist - one who believes in the supremacy of the white race. They may or may not want a white ethnostate. They are not necessarily white nationalists.

Nazi - A member of the National Socialist Party. This has been used lately as a synonym for racist. White supremacy is not the only aspect of this political ideology. Being a white supremacist does not automatically make someone a Nazi. There are other tenets one must believe in.

None of this is an advocation of "Nazism" even though that's how you all will take it. It's merely an explanation.

I won't defend people threatening physical violence against police, or any other group, but blacks have a pretty legitimate beef against the criminal justice system. It's obviously not as bad as it was 50 years ago, but it still disproportionately screws over working class and minority people. Again, I think it's misguided and dangerous for them to direct their hate towards men and women who are just doing their jobs as police officers, but I can see why they're mad at the justice system.

Could someone explain what the equivalent argument is behind these white supremacy marches? Do you seriously think their beef with minorities has the same legitimacy?

Please go ahead and tell us how you feel about each groups message. Which ones are best, and which ones can we learn from?

No one is saying that they are equal. Someone said that it's a Nazi rally. Their evidence is "there's Nazis there bro!" So they're saying that some of the people in a group having a characteristic automatically means the whole group as a whole has that characteristic. A couple days ago they said the exact opposite regarding BLM. In that scenario qualities of some of the people did not represent the group as a whole. That's where the comparison came from.

Lmao conversing with you is pointless. I don't agree with any of the groups. Pointing out that there are differences between them and therefore they are not interchangeable does not equal me agreeing with them.

You just posted in the BLM thread that people are mad white people are standing up for themselves. I wanna hear your thoughts on it. You say you don't want to part of any of those groups what do you want to part of?

Yes, they are mad. Crap like this is continuously published by mainstream news sources so it's not a surprise when white people get fed up with it.

I want to be part of a country that embraces free speech and that disapproves of political violence from all sides. We don't have that in America now. Look at the way right-wing speakers on college campuses are met with violence. When you refuse to allow differing opinions to be heard you end up with violence. Demonstrations like today are the result of the political atmosphere leftists have been fostering in recent years.

I learned something a long time ago in my college English courses. If you have to go out of your way, in writing, to explain that you're not racist despite the fact that your previous statements might insinuate otherwise... It usually means you're racist.

Your first statement should be clear enough on its face. You're very clearly legitimizing white nationalism and its synonymous terms.

Honestly gross.

Lol what? The terms are not synonymous. I'm sorry if you're fine with people being intellectually dishonest, but I'm not. Explaining that three terms have separate and distinct meanings is not legitimizing white nationalism.

It's a damn shame your college English courses didn't teach you the proper use of "your/you're". You should ask for a refund.

FOH with this shit. You honestly expect me to believe white people are being oppressed in this country?

Fuck that shit. I'm a white male and this view makes me sick.

We disavowed and stood against racism in the Civil War, in WWII, during the Civil Rights Movement, and with the election of a black President.

There has never been and should never be acceptance of racism and hate in the United States. Period.

Racist words turn to racist action (e.g. Nazi Germany and pre-civil rights lynchings).

Again, I say, get the fuck out of here with that nonsensical bullshit.

I'm typing on an iPhone and am dealing with autocorrect's shortcomings. But please, keep going with the pretentious attitude.
