Browns rant thread.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You draft players. You fire the people who draft them. You hire new people. You give-up on players and deem them "busts" after not going to the pro-bowl in their first 2 years. You draft new players and repeat the process.

And some people want to continue this pattern.

Yeah, eventually people will accept it was an awful move.

Your group who thinks everyone is doing a good job and should stay is dwindling by the day...

I'm on board for next year simply for continuity's sake. That is literally the one reason I can think of to keep this crew.

Oh look, another straw man...

Being conscious of the turmoil that constant turnover brings is simply being aware. Some of you guys are so deep in the woods that you don't see this and holler until your lungs give out. We get it, but some are still interested in salvaging some of this before going full overhaul.

Ok, I guess I don't get what point you're attempting to make then. Just going on and on about hollering in the woods and straw men. What are we getting at? That there are a few good players on the team? No shit, has anyone said otherwise?

The "pattern" might continue. These guys might be gone. That is turmoil. It doesn't make it the wrong move. Bringing new people in also doesn't mean every player on the team is getting jettisoned again like a couple years ago. I don't see that as the norm, am I missing something? Boy, in actuality, maybe in hindsight, when this current regime did that, it may have been a....bad move?

Shocking, I know.

I absolutely plead that what I'm about to type is wrong in most every way imaginable.

But you know what would sting the worst and what I can easily see coming?

Not only going 0-16, but seeing some sort of Eagles-Steeler Super Bowl. Yes, I'm worried that the Yinz is going to make a run.

If that happens? I nearly would feel it would be best to fold the franchise. Because uh...how do you even sell fans on ever seeing another game after that would play out?

Why would anyone care about the Steelers making the Super Bowl? They do this every few years because they are a great franchise that does things the right way from top to bottom.

What impact does this have on the Browns any more than it has any of the other times they’ve made it?

Are you sure the Steelers are doing it the right way? They have not proven they can make great progress in developing a roster without winning games. Anyone can please thier fan base by winning 12 to 13 games and going to the super bowl. Try winning one game in two years and having fans argue that you are doing a great job. Now that takes talent!

Because my hometown becomes Yinzer West when that happens. And I hate those motherfuckers.

Yes, they do use helmets and feet to lay-out players. :chuckle:

Actually, hard to argue with any of it. Other than being dirty (which, I guess, most find endearing) they are an exemplary franchise.
