Spam ads that redirect to a different site

Anyone else been getting these while viewing RCF on their phone? The same kind of ads that happen on bball-reference where it redirects you to a spam website saying you won something @Ben

Yeah, iphone. Just using the default safari app. This is what I see right before i am redirected: https://m.imgur.com/a/9uiiz

I get this sporadically as well. On Android with chrome

The fact that it's happening on a much, much larger website makes me think it's a google ad's issue. Should be fixed sometime in the morning.

Its been an issue on bball-ref while viewing on mobile for years but they refuse to fix it. Im guessing its because they want you to subscribe to the ad-free service.

I can't seem to recreate it but I've sent this thread out to our ad service to see if they can find the culprit.

No clue as to whats going on. I do have a guess though... the longer you're on RCF the worse the ads get in terms of quality. I'll attempt to fix that issue tonight.

This only happens on this site
