Cleveland Browns Quarterback Position

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Allen also sucked throwing the out route.

Both of them had what, three out routes?
Yeah. I must have missed it then because I don't remember Allen missing them all. But, I wasn't paying much attention at that time.

For reference?

Pick 1-5 Tim Couch 1
Picks 6-32 Brady Quinn 22, Brandon Weeden 22, Johnny Manziel 22
Picks 33-64 Deshone Kizer 52
Picks 65-100 Charlie Frye 67, Colt McCoy 85, Cody Kessler 93
Picks 101-137 Luke McCown 106
Picks 175-218 Spergon Wynn 183

I don't count Kelly Holcomb, Derek Anderson, or Brian Hoyer. They weren't drafted by us.

Rosen showed he is just as athletic as these other QBs. Solid 40 time and good jumping ability. The footwork and mechanics...wow...top of the class. Great deep ball too. Sounds like he wowed on the whiteboard as well. His presser was very good. Very thoughtful and well spoken. Also his teammates went out of their way to say he’s a good locker room guy who they liked. Also saw him and Rudolph goofing around.

To me, Rosen shut down a lot of the narratives of being a statue, not being coachable, not wanting to be in Cleveland, and that his teammates didn’t like him.

Solidly the top QB for me.

Rosen had 2 concussions last season. His dad is a wealthy surgeon. He will quit after his next concussion, which is probably the smart thing to do. He doesn't need the money either. No thx on Rosen.

The only qb whose numbers warrant the number 1 overall pick is Mayfield.

Damn, Baker.

At this point can't you hire people to troll sports boards on your behalf?

You are just knee slapping funny. Take a bow. You should have take over for Jay Leno when he retired. I will bet you big bucks that Rosen will not be in the league in 5 years. And you better get used to it. Mayfield will be the Brown's pick. Deal with it.

This hot take culture is really the driving force why I've sort of become less enamored with sports in recent years.

One has to wonder if that's part of the reason the rest of America may be moving away from football.

Constant terrible, lazy takes on football and less actual analysis. It's becoming pretty terrible.

@King Stannis is probably the most respected poster on here. Antagonizing him probably isn't your smartest course of action.

*should have taken

The rest seems perfectly reasonable.

Gregg Kosell had real good insight today on 923 the fan. Pretty much confirmed that there's nothing not to like about Mayfield. He said Darnold has major lower body flaws and that Rosen has accuracy issues as well as staring down primary receivers. He didn't even mention Rosen missing half his games over the past 2 seasons. Nice to see someone on the airways basing his opinion on stats and actual game tapes. Unlike frauds like McShay and especially Kiper who are on certain agents' payrolls. Mel Kiper Junior made a boatload of money from Jake Locker's agent back in 2011 promoting a horrible college quarterback as the future overall number one pick when everyone and their mother had him as a third round pick. Now he's honking for Josh bleepin Allen. FBI should investigate this scam artist.
