So Long, David Nwaba

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Haven't watched much.

Is he basically Jeff Green?

It would be hard to compare him to Jeff Green. Nwaba is 6'4 and has the build of a guard. He just happen to play PF in college so he has rebounding and the toughness in his game. He is fast for any position on the floor.

His positions in the NBA would be SG or SF. He needs to work on his 3 pt shot, I think it looks too flat.

Nwaba is a 2-3 swing man who can also hold down limited minutes at the 4 only because, head to toe, he's strong as it gets. He overpowers people at the 2 and the 3. He doesn't have the quickness of an ideal 2 guard but he compensates with good position and he's fast enough to catch up and challenge if someone gets by him.

The guy seems to be able to jump out of the gym, has he been measured having a good vertical?

The 2 things he can improve on are his outside shooting consistency and maybe his handle.

I really like the guy, he brings toughness to both ends of the floor that this team hasn't had for awhile.

Young kids, go look this name up:

Sidney Moncrief.

Under 6'5, not really a three point shooter and not really an assist guy... He just defended his ass off.

Dude is playing like a beast.
But he needs to stay late after every practice and put up 1000 jumpers. If he improves that part of his game, he would be an amazing asset and I would gladly see him starting at SG for the rest of the year.

If this guy could shoot dayum he could have a very long good nba career

There was a clear opportunity to pump fake and drive on most of his 3 point attempts last night. Part of that was maybe Houston’s shitty defense and other teams wouldn’t bite, but I hope he realizes that. I think he’s a better shooter than what we saw last night, but still not reliable. I’m glad he’s getting big minutes.

Best comp is probably a shorter, more athletic Uwe Blab. But I like Moncrief too.

If you add Ewe Blab's outside jumper to younger Sidney Moncrief's hustle, that's Nwaba. I really don't want think it's a coincidence that the Cavs have become competitive now that Nwaba is on the floor. They needed Sexton to become an Alpha on offense and they needed Nwaba's infectious energy.

BTW - I had heard Ewe Blab had the flexibility of a Soviet Gymnist. Couldn't play basketball but that's besides the point.

He was working so hard on d, her might not have had the legs. He played a lot more than usual. He needs to just go ahead and take those. His development sort of depends on it.

Yeah he is 25 already, but he was a late bloomer to begin with, and he had been a positive even when not scoring. His form is good, he just wasn't guessing any lift. Probably tired chasing Harden around

Once love is back, they could trade Rodney and have Nwaba start at the 2, and that starting lineup could be pretty cool and still defend

Trading Hood is easier said than done. He’s got a no trade clause

I know but I think he would like to play for Philly or Milwaukee. Maybe he thinks he will get paid here, but i doubt it

Reminds me of Gee with a better motor and more toughness.
But not a stronger skull. Gee had some falls on his head that should have put a dent in it and he bounced back up like nothing happened. Nwaba is tough though.

Am I the only one that thinks Bazemore when they see Nwaba?

Play this guy more! Cedi, Sexton and Nwaba. Shape the new core! + Barret, sky is the limit!
