2018 NFL SEASON Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
pardon me if I don't believe in guilty till proven innocent.

Can you describe to me any sequence of events that would make the actions displayed on the footage acceptable?

What exactly do you need to know? She could have called him the most offensive thing imaginable, taken a swing at him, or whatever else, and his actions are still completely inexcusable.

The video literally proves him guilty.

Yup.

Like I said, this wasn't Ray Rice bad, but this was totally unacceptable behavior from an adult. You gotta be smarter than that.

Most people tend to downplay their fuck-ups.

The problem is when you lie and then video evidence drops a few months later to refute it.

Either way, we have no need for Hunt and should stay the fuck away. Our team doesn't need the drama and we already have a stud RB plus a top-tier receiving back. Also, you can find backs as good as Hunt in the draft literally every year. Spencer Ware's about to step in and give the exact same production as Hunt, and he's JAG. Hunt is a decent talent but at the end of the day any Andy Reid RB1 is going to produce.

Totally agree we shouldn’t be picking him up and have absolutely no need for him. I think Chubb is the better back. But I think that’s more a compliment to Chubb than an indictment against Hunt.

I disagree with your assessment of his talent. I think he’s an elite back with great balance and ability to break tackles. Hunt is a damn nice player.

I think he's a good talent, but I also don't think he'll be as productive when he's not playing for Andy Reid. As I said, Ware's about to step in and more or less match his production, and Ware is just a guy. Any RB in an Andy Reid offense is going to produce.

But in the end, is Hunt any better than several RBs drafted this year? We can leave out Barkley since he was a high first round pick and thus cost a lot more from an opportunity standpoint, but is Hunt markedly better than Michel or Chubb, or Guice as a prospect (haven't seen him actually play in the NFL yet)? I don't think so, and I think there are half a dozen RBs every year who are similarly talented, if not more so. I liked Penny better too, and he's played well (4.6 YPC, same as Hunt, though only on 66 attempts) despite limited opportunity this year.

To me, a big chunk of Hunt's value was being tied to Andy Reid for the foreseeable future. That's no longer the case, and his future is very murky now.

That's a hilariously spineless response.

I totally disagree. He's sort of right. He'll answer, he'll get flamed, and the thread will spiral out of control. The city saw the video, made no charges. For you to say he's guilty, the question is to what?

He didn't get charged. He can't be "guilty" of a crime he wasn't charged with. If you want to say Hunt's a piece of shit, sure. No problems. But guilty? Uh. No?

Do we still call Rodgers the best QB in the league? I don't care how bad McCarthy is.

Top 10 defense and they're not going to make the playoffs. Dude has not been that good this year. He's not a top-5 QB this year.

I think it’s Mahommes

People can call it too soon or whatever, but this time next year I doubt there’s much argument on it

I think its pretty evident, at least for this season.

The top 3 is

1.) Mahomes
2.) Brees
3.) Goff

I know their teams are better and they have more weapons. But you can't seriously put Brady and Rodgers ahead of those guys THIS YEAR.

I'd add Rivers to that list as well.

All-time, of course, but they've not been top tier QBs this year.

Brady is 41 and looking more like it.

Rodgers just hasn't been that impressive this season. I'd say bad for his standards.

Serious question:

Is Josh Allen a quarterback??? Orrrrr is Josh Allen a........ running back??

McCarthy fired. No shock. One thing I'll say in his defense. Rodgers gets too much credit when they win, and not enough blame himself when they lose.

Especially the last few games where they lost because Rodgers couldn't get it done.

That said, I don't want him as our coach either.

Can't the Steeler take a page out of the Bungles book. And bring back Todd Fucking Haley's hairy ass.

The Steelers jumping offsides 3 straight times on the Chargers’ game winning field goal was bush league. I was honestly shocked that the dude ended up making the FG after all that nonsense.

You should get hit with a delay of game or something for pulling crap like that. Although they clearly didn’t mind giving up the yards and were instead focused on 1) getting away with one or 2) fucking with the kicker’s head.

We have a Mark Sanchez sighting.
