Simple poll, most know I am not an OSU guy, but not a hater by any means. Guy I work with is an OSU alumni and huge college football fan. He thinks Urban coaches again, he thinks Notre Dame. I think OSU was Urban's dream job and health is just too much and he never coaches again.

What do you think? Will Urban coach again?

He was a great man. R.i.p.

First, his cyst would have to be somehow completely removed/cured, I think. I just don't see anyway he goes back to coaching with that lingering. His family would disown him. If he's able to clear that hurdle (big if), it then becomes a question of whether he really wants to coach again or not. I never pictured Urban as a guy that would coach into old age. But, he's still just 54.

I'd say it's possible, but unlikely.

I think he's done. Probably going to take an administrative role at Ohio State in some capacity, kind of like how Earle Bruce did.

There's no way he coaches next year, and I never saw him coaching far into his late 50s/early 60s anyways because of his health. Would shock me if he took the ND or any job at all just to stay for 4-5 years.

He was on record saying the Notre Dame was his dream job years ago, but coming home to Ohio State and reconnecting with people he knew back when he was just a young assistant nobody was also a dream. I think he is in a lot of pain that he wasn't talking about, and there is no plan to return to coaching. I feel for the guy, especially for the way the media rolled him this summer.

The cyst is probably an excuse: arachnoid cysts 99% of the time don't do anything clinically significant even if they're "big"

Dude is in late 50's, rich as fuck and gets pain from stress.

Coaching anywhere in Division 1 college is extremely stressful job, much less a top 10 job like OSU.

He doesn't need the money, he doesn't need the stress, thus he doesn't need the job.

Not saying the cyst is life threatening, I am not a Dr or even his Dr, but I do I have seen him bent over in pain on the sidelines and I am not an OSU fan like you guys. I feel bad for him, hell of a coach but health is more important.

Sure stress can do it and he already left Florida with the same type of situation. I'm just very confident that the cyst is a red herring

So, the surgery in 2014. The constant doctor visits over the years. The visible pain on the sideline. Etc...all fake?
