Rodney Hood: Won't be missed

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think most people that hope we can move Hood also hope Clarkson is gone too. I would even get rid of Burks.

I think once Love and TT come back, the small lineups won't be needed as much. Cedi and Nwaba can play SG/SF. We can let Delly get some burn at SG with Sexton at PG. I think Blossomgame could play SF. Hopefully we get some spot up shooters in return for the players we trade.
Bleacher report is saying that hood is drawing interest from bucks. Pelicans and a couple others. Have a feeling a lot of current players will soon be gone

I think Hood should be easy to move if he is willing to waive his no trade clause. His contract is small and teams will always think they fix him with all the tools he possesses.

It took me quite a long time to sour on Hood. On paper Hood really looks like what you want from a modern NBA player. He just doesn't have the BB IQ or willingness to improve his defense to put it all together.

It's was his lack of mental AND physical toughness that was so jarring for me the moment he put on a Cavs uniform.

Can't imagine why he'd refuse a trade. He's not doing himself any good here and any team that trades for him obviously has some sort of plan to use him. Once the trade deadline passes there's no reason for the Cavs to continue giving him minutes.

Question is what can we reasonably get back. To be honest he is addition by extraction

Well Hood and Burks just became very attractive, Indiana just lost Victor bad injury.....I want a first, I don’t care if it’s 5 years from now......

I think we should consider putting him to sleep

Not if Indiana has anybody watching this game. Woof.

Koby basically just has to say we are very unlikely to offer him a contract in the summer or that 3 years 7 million per year isn't even on the table anymore.

Call up Pacers and offer Hood for Holiday. I doubt we can get a first for Hood. But with Paynes 2nd 10 day contract almost up if we can flip Hood for a backup PG with some potential it would be a win. Hood would likely approve of going to Indy since they can make the playoffs and likely start him with Deepo out.

I'd trade Hood for Payne

Same here. His defense isn’t that terrible, but his shooting is worse than advertised. Not reliable from 3pt range at all.

He's fine from there, but he does not shoot it and no one knows what is wrong with him or why he has to drive so many times before he shoots. If he just shot it or passed it like JR everyone would be fine with him.

I guess I don't believe he's gonna waive his nontrade clause for most teams. He starts here. Plays big minutes here. In Milwaukee he's coming off the bench out the gate and probably barely getting to 15 minutes a night?

Is that what a guy seeking a contract would want?
