2019 RCF NFL Mock Draft - Commentary

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Here are some other good picks thru the Dog lens, I'll try not to make them black & white..;)

..these are basically all somebody else opinions in the first place, right? Though I did watch enough youtube clips of offensive linemen this year that i should probably be getting paid for this time. Haha...

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama
I don't wan't to not come out in favor of this pick. Perfect fit for Tampa Bay, I'd imagine getting either him or Bosa at 5 is their real life hope

10. Denver Broncos - Devin Bush, LB, Michigan
71. Denver - Emanuel Hall, WR, Missouri
How about the balls of Denver? They take a 5'11" linebacker at pick 10 and come back swinging for the fences again at 71 with Hall. I personally love it, but imagine it would be met with a ton of scrutiny. Bush could be awesome for them, so could Hall. Not sure if trading for Rosen is the answer though.

28. Los Angeles Chargers - Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson

91. L.A. Chargers - Tytus Howard, OT, Alabama State
I've made my thoughts known on Lawrence, he's gonna be a probowler. Your Tytus Howard pick made me like you again, after taking Lawrence right ahead of me, becauae I was able to select Elgton Jenkins behind you that time, who I had a whole thing typed up for. I like your draft overall, but I'm not sold on Knox emerging from this great TE class.

62. New Orleans - Andy Isabella, WR,Massachusetts
I'd consider this pick a reach if it wasn't going to Drew Brees and the Saints. Instead, this pick instantly makes the Saints even scarier. One of the more important picks of this draft to me, from an x-factor stand point.

134. Tennessee Titans - Jahlani Tuvai, LB, Hawaii
I like picks like this, the kind that take you by surprise, than immediately impress you. Seems like the kind of player who will hit his ceiling. Going from Hawaii culture to Tennessee will be a Huuge change for him though.

That's all for now folks.

I loved Denver's draft. Don't sleep on the fact they ended up with Josh Rosen for a second rounder and a running back, which would be offseason defining. When I had to make their fourth round pick for them I had a lot of respect for what they pulled off. I thought Edoga should have gone a round earlier as well.

How'd you get than fancy H?

@Randolphkeys you doing draft grades this year? Lol I wanna hear mine

My two sons are getting their bedroom renovated with bunk beds this weekend, and I still have a damn fractured shoulder. I will have some downtime tomorrow during work to pop out some draft grades.

As a teacher, I find it hilarious how badly people who are out of school want to be graded.

I guess we get so used to getting the grades we expect it the rest of our lives! lol

Anyone wanna take a crack at the best players still available? I know Daylon Mack was next on my board. I liked David Sills V and KeeSean Johnson as far as the remaining wideouts go.

Only two that were left that were on my board were Foster Moreau and Justice Hill.

@Randolphkeys I am waiting to hear my bad grade! I didn't get a chance this year to really go indepth on everyone so I picked maybe some guys early based off of what I felt the team needed and success they could have in the NFL.

Tomorrow at the absolute earliest.

Draft Grades 2019 - The A Range.

I do not grade myself because it's just too purple penguin.

A+ Denver - The value on the Rosen trade will end up better than real life. As I said earlier in this thread, they made a brave trade and still drafted for need and value afterwards.

A Oak Vegas Raiders - Very aggressive draft, using the wealth of assets well to build a young team. Probably had the best fake behind the scenes bumbling takes on the front office as well. I don't think Burns is a top 5 player, which kept them out of the A+ range.

A Tampa - I loved the sneaky value accumulated early. Williams and Risner would be a difference maker in the first two rounds. Generally great value besides Coney in the third, I don't know what he can do for a defense in passing situations without some improvement.

A Houston - Wisely built up the offensive line and found strong defensive back value later. Without a great bevy of picks this team got better.

A Atlanta - Considering this was the GM's "second team" the Falcons got significantly better. Duke plays very similarly to Tevin Coleman. This team had a vision for regaining a top status in the NFL, especially on offense.

A- Arizona - Murray will go down as the make or break pick. I don't think they maximized their trade value for Rosen. This team couldn't protect Rosen, and the offensive line wasn't addressed. That said, the players drafted seem like high ceiling players.

A- NY Giants - With a tremendous war chest, the Giants made logical rebuild moves. Again, this is a team with a bad offensive line in a good O-Line draft, and for the most part they sat it out. I'm not a Tre Lamar guy personally, but the team drafted talent.

A- Tennessee- The GM had fun with creating a narrative, and that's worth something. They also got a little trade rapey, which in this grading rubric is frowned upon. Still, they improved at the most important position, targeted the guys they liked even if they weren't my favorites, and somehow got value for what is left of Delanie Walker. Good drafting!

Later today... B Range.

Tough, but fair.
