The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kind of shocked at how Battlefront 2 has become a great game. It's a lot of fun to play, for a Star Wars nerd like myself.

Still doesn't come close to the original Battlefront 2, but it's a great game ATM.

BoxVR and Thrill of the Fight VR are the most physically exhausting games I've ever played. I love em.

For the uninitiated....

What is Baldur's Gate and why should I be excited about it?

Probably the greatest cRPG series of all time at while it was done by it's original designers. BG1 and 2 are Dungeons and Dragons role playing games using the 2nd Edition rule set.

Top of the line story, memorable characters, incredible customization. 100 hours of gameplay. BG2 is personally my best game of all time and if you're at all interesting in fantasy RPGs, it's an easy recommendation. The game has held up well too since it never really relied on graphics, so while it's a little wonky in the ui department, it's nothing you wouldn't be able to use after a half hour or so. Easier than Witcher 1 to pick up imo.

Now in recent years it got a bit of an overhaul by beamdog. BG1 and 2 Enhanced Editions. In my opinion they're well worth, especially since there were no subclasses (known as kits) in the original BG1. They are in BG1EE though and I don't think I could go back to to original. The 2 EE editions do get crapped on a bit though mainly cause beamdog decided to make a game between 1 and 2 and the main writer had a MAJOR agenda while writing it. So we pretty much ignore that one.

So if I had to recommend. Play Baldur's Gate 1EE and 2EE. And ignore Siege of Dragonspear

Anyone still playing Red Dead and know how I can get the new online story missions to appear on my map?

I'm trying to get the platinum on PS4, and all I've pretty much got left is a handful of storymode achivements that I've been too lazy to get and pretty much all of the online achievements since I've barely touched it after the first month.

No clue. I just got back into it a couple of days ago and now I'm lost on like everything. For as great as the single player was, arguably the best story I've ever played in a game, the online is literally the complete opposite in terms of quality and enjoyment for me. Going to grind out the achievements (getting to level 50 is going to suck), and then probably never touch it again.

GTA Online had a similar incredibly rocky start. Rockstar just isn't great with online stuff. If I ever figure it out, I'll let you know.
