Zach Randolph Implicated in Indiana Drug Bust

Indianapolis, In - Memphis Grizzlies standout Zach Randolph has been implicated in an Indianapolis drug investigation. A probable cause affidavit has a police informant indentifying Randolph as a major marijuana supplier in Indianapolis.

A stake out on a suspected drug house 2 weeks ago led to 32 year old Arthur Boyd being pulled over in a Cadillac Escalade. The vehicle had marijuana and ammunition inside, and was registered to Randolph.

The Escalade led police to a storage facility where they say Randolph rents four lockers. According to the document, police dogs found controlled substances in two of the four lockers.

John Tompkins, Randolph's attorney, was quoted by 6News saying that Randolph is not connected to any drug activity. He went on to say that the vehicle's secret compartments were a safety precaution for concealing valuables. The Memphis Grizzlies will release a statement supporting Randolph on Thursday, according to Tompkins.

This is not Randolph's first run in with the law. He has a conviction on battery charges dating back to 1997. He was also caught selling a stolen gun in 1999. In 2002 Randolph was charged with underage drinking. Last year he was arrested on charges of drunk driving in Los Angeles.

The latest arrest information comes from a report from 6 News reporter, Jack Rinehart.

Re: Zach Randolph likes his refeer

It was only a matter of time.

If this is true..

How stupid do you have to be to bankroll a drug operation when you are a very public figure? Also, how do proceed to orchestrate said drug operations with vehicles and storage in your name.

I am not going to lie I would do something very similar if I had the money, mind you I don't have the money and I am not as stupid as Zach. I would not get caught the same way, if I got caught it would be due to a cop being smarter than me and not me being retarded and using my real name.

So if you Zach Randolph's money instead of finding real investments and business opportunities you'd finance a drug ring?

This is in the running for the most ignorant post in RCF history.

Nah not even close, my grammar was correct, or at least readable. And what is wrong with a drug ring? It is illegal, and illegal means huge money, and unlike legitimate investments drugs are a guaranteed investment. Like it or not, but the world that we live in is filled with degenerates that want to get high.

Why the hell would you deal drugs as a basketball player who makes millions and millions a year? Hey, I can understand maybe growing it or buying it, but come on... that's just fucking stupid.

Obviously you are. If you had the money Zach Randolph has made through his NBA career thus far, you would have made roughly $72million.

Why risk doing something illegal. Why the hell would you need more money? You are also scheduled to make another $17,333,333 in the upcoming season.

And unlike drugs, legitimate investments don't have a possibility of putting you in jail.

This is why you used to have to have character to play pro sports no matter how good you were. People had someone they could have as a successful roll model for children and advertising and the worst that could happen would be they were drinking or fucking on the side and you would find out when there career was over.

My favorite part of this is how announcers this year raved about how Randolph was such a positive influence off of the court. I smelled bullshit when I heard it, but I guess I didn't smell the skunk...

Tell that to the people of Enron. How many people went to jail for that?

I saw this on Twitter. Lets just say I was shocked that this news shocked me.... if that makes any sense.
