2018 NBA Draft - June 21

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Suns and the Kings are really going to regret this day for many years to come, you have by far the best player in the draft available who’s a 6’8 PG/SG and you decide to take a center?

A position that is dying in the modern NBA, besides Joel Embid who’s injury prone as fuck btw, when was the last time you saw a center being the best player in a draft? 95% of the time it’s the guards or small forwards that become the most valuable players in a draft class, never take a center first overall unless it’s freaking Shaq.

Not really surprised though, the suns and kings a terribly run organizations, people will compare this to drafting Greg Oden over KD or drafting Blake Griffin over Curry in the future.

Since when is Blake griffin over curry viewed the same way as Oden over kd?

Keita Bates-Diop went #48, to the Wolves. Many projected him as a late first-rounder.

Dude slid like a contestant in a KY Jelly wrestling match.

Doncic is hilariously overrated. All three prospects picked in the top 3 are flawed however Bagley and Ayton's phsyical attributes mean if their offense translates and they learn how to defend their ceilings are multiple time all stars potentially all nba players they are that talented.

Doncic ceiling as Hayward with worse defense. 22/6/5 in his prime while Ayton and Bagley could easily give you 28/13 such is my belief in their offense game unlike Doncic who struggles to create separation in europe vs C- athletes.

Also Oden was a brilliant prospect who's career was derailed by injuries it wasn't a bad selection by the Blazers. Never heard anybody say Griffin over Curry was a mistake more like Johnny Flynn over Curry was a mistake. Can't be blaming teams for someone outdoing their pre draft position. It's like saying 12 teams who picked players ahead of Donovan Mitchell should be ashamed of themselves. Scouting isn't easy, you look at teams who draft in similar positions for me.

The biggest question about this draft will be in a few years from now did the Cavs pass up the next great player in Porter Jr ?
