What’s lindors arbitration going to look like the next couple years?

Wonder what's going on with Martin...

Maybe something like diverticulitis or ulcerative colitis?
those things dont effect your ability to play just means you have to eat careful or can cause stomach issues, and at his age that is almost impossible and with what they feed the players very hard to happen. My guess is did something not good outside of the team and this is the way they are punishing him.

Kris Bryant set the record for first year arbitration last year at $10.85 million. Shouldn't be too shy of that.

That’s not bad at all. Considering lindor is worth 20-30M per on the open market.

0% chance this is a punishment.

Also, and I mean no disrespect by this, but you don’t know what you’re talking about when it comes to those two illnesses. A severe case of either one could/would absolutely be debilitating for a professional athlete.

As someone who was diagnosed with a similar disorder about two years ago, I can tell you they are definitely debilitating, especially early on.

I know there’s a forum for this, but anyone have a suggestion to get 3 tickets for the Sept 1 game vs the Rays? Looking to take my boy to his first game that weekend. The only seats on the Indians site are bleachers and upper deck.
Thanks

Did you try stubhub?

I might have two--don't have three though

sit in the bleachers /// no better way to attend first game .. walk him up to meet John Adams …

All the best to Leonys Martin, and I hope this doesn't come off as insensitive, but we really need to go out and snag McCutchen or another comparable outfielder off of a waiver trade. It's sounding like Martin is done for the year, so we're pretty much back at square one regarding our outfield depth.
  • Brantley is a clear-cut all-star starter.
  • Rajai honestly still has a decent bat, glove, and still has wheels. He's a great fourth outfielder, but not an ideal starter at this point.
  • Melky is fat, old, slow, and has one of the worst ranges in baseball. He can still swing the bat relatively well when he gets in a grove, but I don't want him playing come postseason time because of his awful fielding profile and lack of other postseason success (.244 OBP in 80 PA).
  • Greg Allen is speedy and seems to get timely hits, but again, I'm not sure about him starting a bunch of games come postseason time.
  • Guyer is a lefty specialist and is good at that job and will be a factor against a team like Boston who has four lefties in their rotation. Can't really hit righties though and he's an average fielder at best.
  • Chisenhall, Naquin, and Zimmer are all likely done for the year.
Absolutely have to throw a guy like McCutchen into that mix or our depth is going to kill us out there come playoff time if Martin is done. Having Brantley in left and McCutchen in right makes me feel a lot better about throwing a guy like Allen or Rajai out in center as a speedy defensive guy.

Sheesh I hope Leonys turns out okay. But yea, are we thinking he may be done?
