GSW will win at least 65 games again. They will figure it out.

2-5 in the East will be:

Boston 55-27
Indiana 54-28
Atlanta 53-29
Toronto 52-30

You are underrating Indiana.

I need time. And I need to do some math.
I just put initial thoughts down. Will adjust before end of night

One winner for overall plus minus, one winner for most teams within 5 games.. this eliminates outlier incorrect predictions to an extent

I know my math comes up with too many wins right now.

I don't know what all the records are supposed to add up to so I don't know if I can take the time to do all that math.

But I think the Cavs will be closer to 67 win then 57. 67 might be high, but I think we will finish with 60-65 wins. I also think Pacers are a 55 win team.

I think GS is a 57-60 win team, and I also think Spurs will finish with a better record. 60 is about right, but I'd give Spurs like 63 wins.

It would probably be easier just to do playoff seeding predictions.

Easier Yea, but I saw a thread on reddit that examined 538 vs Vegas predictions for overall win loss. Seemed more thorough.

You get two teams wrong on a playoff predictor and you're screwed. This allows for mistakes.

Don't think too hard on overall, just put what you think. Nbd

538 actually did just post their predictions..

Have many teams spot on, disagree on some

Ok...well I don't think it adds up but my predictions by playoff standings.

East
1. Cavs 65-17
2. Raptors 54-28
3. Pacers 53-29
4. Celtics 50-32
5. Pistons 48-34
6. Hawks 47-35
7. Heat 44-38
8. Hornets 43-39
9. Knicks 42-40
10. Wizards 42-40
11. Bulls 39-43
12. Bucks 37-45
13. Magic 33-49
14. 76ers 22-62
15. Nets 18-64

West
1. Spurs 63-19
2. Warriors 60-22
3. Clippers 54-28
4. Blazers 52-30
5. Grizzlies 47-35
6. Thunder 44-38
7. Jazz 42-40
8. Mavericks 41-41
9. Rockets 37-45
10. Twolves 35-47
11. Kings 35-47
12. Nuggets 34-48
13. Pelicans 28-54
14. Suns 24-58
15. Lakers 21-61

Notes, In East, I think Knicks have best chance to make playoffs from teams I didn't put in. They could be a 7th or 8th spot with Heat or Hornets falling out instead. Bucks and Bulls even have the talent to make it, a lot of teams in play for the last couple spots.

For West, I think Grizzlies will be an underdog team if they stay healthy. Blazers could be in play for the 3rd seed. OKC could go as high as 4th seed, but they are royally screwed if they sustain certain injuries. I feel like I have the Mavericks too low also, they could easily be a couple 2 or 3 spots higher.

You don't see Miami tanking?

They very well could (if they even have picks?). They still have a decent roster. It would probably be the one thing I would change though, there is a good chance they don't make the playoffs. Knicks, Bulls, or Bucks could easily take that spot. Probably Knicks would be my bet. I might change that.

Also, I kind of want to put Mavericks higher too. They could be a 4-6 seed. One of Mavs and Grizz will, not sure which one. Maybe both.

@David. Give me one more day to perfect it! :chuckle: I'll probably go through and make sure the win totals are actually correct so I at least give myself a better chance. I'm pretty sure I got too many overall wins on the board.

Same for me, on both accounts. I'm not gonna get too tied up on overall w/L though.

Consider GS a cusp playoff team. Wouldn't be surprised if they finish under .500
