#185 - Caleb Brantley, DT, Florida

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No...you said she was assumed to be weaker bcz she had a vagina and then spouted some redpill rhetoric.

She is assumed to be weaker bcz she is half his size. Same reason that if you punch a second grader who was kicking you, you're gonna have a bad time.

Maybe she was the aggressor. But like the second grader, the 300lb lineman probably shouldn't knock her out.

Anyways, let's hope he is a model citizen and plays well.

Again... have you read the release... she wasnt punched... she wasnt knocked out.

You also misunderstood my weaker sex comment which I put in quotations for a reason, but there are far bigger issues with your stance on this.

I'm sorry, but don't act like a drunken asshole and learn to control your booze better

The eyes of the law aren't what's off putting about the story.

But like I said, not enough evidence to ever know. So he'll get his second chance.

You've been so vague about this, I dont get it. Are you saying you have an issue with him pushing her away when she attacked him? Or are you saying you still think she was "punched" despite the report saying this is unlikely?

I wonder if its okay for me to bust some 350lb dude in the face and not expect any retaliation because I only weigh 170.

No, it's not, but I do want Mr Orange to comment on this.

You are missing the point.

I don't have an issue with Mr. Brantley defending himself if he indeed was attacked. But it's this quote:

"You missed the part where she has a vag, thus we must automatically assume her as the victim, because of some "weaker sex" mumbo jumbo that totally contradicts the outcry for equality we hear from the same crowd on a daily basis."

Just because one woman may or may not have started this, emellished... who knows. But to then someone make the leap that we shouldn't support equality? She was assumed to be the victim since she filed the report. That doesn't mean that we should not advocate equality. And that is all I am going to say about this. Go Browns.

No, I really think you're not understanding what I was saying, if what you interpreted was that I am against equality. :chuckle: But if you don't get it now, it's pointless for me to try explaining for the umpteenth time. Go Browns indeed.

One thing that's bothering me is many people's use of the word second chance

Second chance of what? The charges were dropped. He was being followed and physically confronted and he pushed her away. How is that using a first chance? Saying second chance is implying he was in the wrong and got off the hook. I'm not ok with that terminology.

Sooooo....we've got some depth on the d-line all of a sudden. Excited to see what Williams can do with these young guys.

Maybe they mean a second chance to disappoint them. :chuckle:

I'm saying, just like the police are, that we don't have enough evidence to know.

But I'm hopeful that it didn't happen.

I understand how hard you must get at the opportunity to be passive aggressive toward my thoughts on this.

Easily our strongest unit on the whole team. Garrett, Brantley, Ogunjobi, Shelton, Ogbah, Nassib, Cooper, Bryant, Orchard.

Best time to be a Browns fan. Next step is to shore up the secondary and we can have an elite defense that will be together a long time.

The offensive line may beef with that first statement. Oddly enough, the Browns did what Ray Farmer wanted to do (build the trenches) while also being able to acquire skill players. Novel concept.

I was actually just asking you a question and I was genuinely frustrated that you weren't being clear on your thoughts. If this post expresses your opinion on the issue...sure, I think we agree. The evidence we do have points to him not being guilty of anything- hence, if you read it, the contents of the press release.

Yet your earlier posts seem to indicate you thought Brantley was still guilty of something despite what the press release said. As if you somehow knew more than the rest of us. You seem to have softened on that, so, again, we agree.
