2012 Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why am I not suprised?

It appears we will have the most productive player out of this draft.

I legitimately think Waiters will have a decent shot at rookie of the year. I think Davis is his main competition and still the favorite to win it but I like Waiters chances. I don't think Gilchrist will put up the needed numbers in Charlotte, I don't think Beal will get the touches he would need to do it in Washington, and I don't think T-Rob is in a good environment to do it with the current make up of the roster and Tyreke Evans there. Though I do think on paper T-Rob is a good fit beside Cousins.

I think Waiters will be given the chance to carry a large amount of the offensive work load and replace a lot of the touches Jamison took last year. I think playing beside Kyrie will also help him get good looks throughout the season. I think given the circumstances he has a very good opportunity to put up numbers his rookie year and make a run at it.

People are sleeping on Lillard for ROY imo. Not sure how talented he is since I didn't see a single game of his, but his only backup is Nolan Smith. He'll have all the touches and minutes he can handle.

I'm nt so sure, nolan tweeted he had received some great advice from coach K today and we would see a new man come next season. Coach K: basketball coach and life coach in one

So...why are you not surprised?

And you seriously just judged 60+ careers based on a July ankle sprain?

Next time I will insert a smiley so you won't take my optimistic sarcasm posts literally.

Everyone that says they didnt mind having 4 rookies dont forget... were going to have two more 1st rounders next year, two more the next year or whenever the kings make the playoffs. Why not move up and get a guy you think is a top 10 pick, even in a deep draft. We have been loaded with picks.

Its hard to find a skilled 7 footer with a good head on his shoulders, that could be a career backup or a starter even with a top 10 pick. He has almost no weaknesses besides that he might never be a great great player.

First of all, I disagree -- there's lots of potential downside for him.

Also, your sentence reminded me of this:

Draft

Does anyone else feel that Grant keeps reaching at the 4th pick in the past few drafts?

Re: Draft

Just wonder why we were so high on barnes but yet something escalated with waiters in the last week just like the tt pick....Think its weird that barnes was a sf and so is lbj just sayin...fyi I HATE LEBRON LOL

Re: Draft

He's been a scout for a long time. I'm sure he drafted those guys for a reason because he knows they have potential and talent. And they arent really reaches, Tristan and Waiters were both top 10 players rated by many experts. I have the faith in Grant and that he knows what he's doing

Re: Draft

Since this is destined to be locked at some point, I throw my only thought in here.

I find it very concerning that the Cavs apparently didn't even consider Thomas Robinson. My only thought.

Not sure how to take this question posed by someone with your user name. Shouldn't you be asking why he waited so damn long to pick Waiters? :chuckles:
