2014 March Madness Tournament Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Frank Kaminsky has some Spencer Hawes in him, but somebody needs to slip him some HGH.

Can't say Kentucky didn't earn this Final Four appearance. Three of the best games I've seen in a long time, all in a row, and all against teams that were title contenders. Hard to believe they're a 10-loss, #8 seed.

The opening point spreads for Saturday's national semifinals are set.

They are:

Florida -7.0 over Connecticut
Kentucky -2.5 over Wisconsin

That means two SEC schools will play for the national title on Monday, barring an upset. The Gators would then be favored over Kentucky in the title game. Florida and UK have already played three times this season. Billy Donovan's team won all three games -- the first 69-59 at Kentucky, the second 84-64 at Florida, and the third 61-60 in Atlanta.

point spreads will be far more important on saturday.

that said, kinda surprised to see uk at 2.5.

Damn Wisconsin. After years of underperforming in the tourney, they go on a run and cost me the office pool. Had them losing to Oregon and the Ducks couldn't finish them. March always serves as a reminder for why I don't bet on sports.

If espn gets their SEC v. SEC basketball...I may kill myself

Why would ESPN want SEC vs SEC basketball? Just for the conference vs conference storyline?

This isn't football, the SEC generally gets very little love when it comes to college hoops.

you're definitely right about sec basketball being worlds below football. though conference aside, florida/uk has to be the preferred title game for cbs, espn, etc.

in any case, bumpin dis. really looking forward to the games tonight!

Florida is the only team keeping my bracket alive....

7 seed vs 8 seed. Proof that the regular season is completely worthless.

play retarded hero ball and somehow get there. that's college basketball for ya i guess.

gonna be rooting hard for ollie and uconn.

Ugh. No doubt Kentucky is going to win on Monday night. Probably by double digits. Don't think I'll even tune in.

I remember the days of Kevin Ollie playing for the Cavs with the specific role of just shooting FTs to finish off games.

3 points...missed goaltending and the LeVert 2(3).

Way to go officials, you did it again.

Why is college officiating so terrible? It's altering the outcome of every freaking game.

Training for the NBA? :dunno:

About Kentucky's ten loss season. They are freshmen, and they are learning as they go. By the way, Randle is the best player in this draft. If Ky wins it, I look for him to go number 1.
