Raptors beat this Boston team everyone is worried about while missing their best player (Lowry). They're a whole lot better than this board gives them credit for. I don't think they'll beat the Cavs, not even close, but they are a really, really good team.

Oh I totally agree that they're in a good position and I think their plan is working, but I hate them for it.

You guys have a ton of good young pieces now. I'd like to see someone else in the top 3 of the lottery for a change. It would be different if they were even trying to win, but they obviously aren't... stil...

They've had high picks for years, and almost ALL of those guys have been brittle. The one guy who might actually be robust, they want to trade, because he's got a bad attitude. Noel, Embiid, and Simmons never saw the floor together. It remains to be seen how much Embiid and Simmons play together. I bet both of those guys top out at 70 games played a year.

If the LA pick ends up at #4, and Philly gets it..

If one of Fultz, Ball, or Smith(Smith is the most likely..) falls to 4...then damn...they could be such a dangerous young team.

Smith/Simmons/Embiid is a super legit young core.

Fultz would make that core extra special because of his shooting. Smith has improved but Fultz shot is just on another level. I doubt Fultz drops outside the top three though. I think he will ultimately be the consensus #1 by draft day.


Lonzo's shot is so ugly...but it does go in, at least in college. We'll see what happens in the pros.

The only thing about Simmons is that his jumper sucks, but it shouldnt be a lost cause at all. His year at college was a weird year. Terrible program for a young guy with his talent.

Either Simmons will have to learn to shoot, or Philly will need to find a PG that can shoot. Probably easier to find anywayse

Tucker at the 4 and Ibaka at the 5 is an interesting combo for the Raptors. Now they don't have to worry about playing Val late and can switch almost every position.

The East playoffs should be fun though, but I like our chances.

I think he is going to be even better defensively on a competitive team. Too bad we couldn't snag him somehow.

Every team gets a little scare in the playoffs. Even GS does to teams they're clearly superior to.

We're not going to sweep through the East. Toronto is not going to beat us in a series, but yes, they can give us a fight.

Even Boston is capable of getting a few games against us.

There's nothing outrageous to suggest that. It's hard beating teams 4 straight times. Even teams you are clearly better than.
