2016-2017 Around The NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Man, Embiid is legit as fuck.

With Simmons coming back and them getting possibly two more lottery picks, this team can be fucking amazing in 2-3 years.

With Embiid on court, the Sixers are +3.9 per 100 possessions, equivalent to the sixth best team in the NBA. With him off the floor, they're -12.2, equivalent to the worst team in the NBA. His impact on the game has been stunning so far.

This isn't a great way to look at it.. those are best cumulative teams.. I think it's better to compare best line ups if we're comparing that lineup to other single line ups rather than a teams best line up watered down with the rest of the teams other lineups

Any way you slice it, from what I can tell, Embiid on the court turns the Sixers into a plus differential team.

Whether the "true plus differential"(not a real stat, just speaking to the idea of your post) when considering all line-up issues is the +3.9, or if it's just +0.5, and the "true minus differential" when considering all line-ups is the full -12.2, or maybe just 9.5(and those are two big adjustments to make), the conclusion is that Embiid's presence is worth a gigantic positive differential, and it's extra amazing because, flat out, ROOKIES DO NOT USUALLY IMPACT THE GAMES LIKE THAT.

Dude is special. But damn. Hyperextended the same knee twice in one game? God I would have PISSED myself if I was Colangelo.

Maybe he will always have to be on some kind of minutes/back-to-back/physical restriction to avoid losing him. That'd be a fascinating wrinkle onto a career of somebody who obviously has the potential to be the best big-man in the league, and could do special, special things.

Sometimes I wonder why I watch this crooked shit. Refs literally hand the game to the Bulls, you know it's bad when the bulls announcers are on the kings side of the calls

Leonard has developed into a pretty good player.. From an athletic defensive player to a 30pt scorer.. Pop sure knows how to develop their players.. Not to mention getting another jem in murray.. Can the cavs ask buford to pick for them?

Here it is with the bulls announcers in disbelief. Mind you in love time the refs let it go 5 more seconds before look calling a foul. I commend Boogie for not bitch slapping a ref

Not to take anything away from what the Spurs coaching staff has achieved, but you can't turn every non-shooter into a 50-40-90 guy. The improvement Kawhi has made speaks volumes about his own ridiculous work ethic and the knack for learning.

The Wolves are starting to find it and KAT is starting to feel it. That is the lone team fighting for the 8th seed that can give Golden State a headache. No, they can't win, but they can exploit their big weakness. Now, if they were to really go for it and make a trade for Butler....look out
