2016 Draft: Top Prospects

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If Thon Maker really falls down to the bottom 5 of the first round or second we would be silly for not trying to try to get him. Same for Zubac and Papagiannis

NBA Draft 2016. Exciting stuff guys. Cleveland has a... Cleveland doesn't have a pick.

It's gonna be fun observing and being introduced as the Champs whenever we're mentioned.

And we can always buy or trade into the draft.

My favorite player early on is Kris Dunn. I'm pulling for him to go to the right situation.

Love his game. Was genuinely worried about him for my Tar Heels in the Tourney.

He reminds me a LOT of a mix of Wade at Marquette and Caron Butler at UConn. He plays bigger than his size and he leads his teammates on the court.

I wouldn't peg his as your guy Rch. Whenever I watched him (which wasn't that much I'll admit) he seemed completely out of control with a shaky jumpshot. Lots to like, but I also got some small Marcus Smart vibes too.

Rumors are the Sixers really want him, along with Simmons of course at #1. But I think Sixers want to acquire another top 5 pick, probably use Noel or Okafor, an then draft Dunn too.

I felt the exact same way about Wade and Butler

Neither had jumpshots that scared you but both had a command while on the court.

I think what you call out of control is eerily similar to Wade at Marquette

All that water carrying finally paid off and Haynes broke that Simmons is going #1. I guess we know where Love is going now. :chuckle:

I'll admit I didn't follow prospects too closely back then, so maybe he's the next coming of Wade. I guess I just don't like trigger happy prospects with shaky jumpshots I guess, I've seen so many of them burn out after people talk themselves into "all he has to do is improve his shooting and shot selection..."

Hey @RchfldCavRaised, what are your thoughts on Hield vs Jamal Murray? They always get compared to one another and most people like Murray because of the age difference, but I have a hard time getting past how unathletic he is. Hield I would say is at least a slightly above NBA athlete but Murray can't even move laterally with or get past college perimeter defenders.

Normally I'd go with the youth without looking back, but I'm really on the fence here.

I'll tell you what... If I'm the Cavs and Denzel Valentine starts to slip into the 20s, I'm calling every team trying to buy a pick. Cavs thin on the wing as it is, Valentine is tough as nails, can hit the jump shot, and is the type of "little bit of everything" player that seems to be trending in the league. Ready to contribute right away.

What are the odds the Cavs trade/buy their way into a draft pick Thursday night?
