2016 NFL Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cam pouted like a 10 year old baby. He's a grown man, right? I like him, but how he behaved was pathetic. I get he's upset, and that's fine.

Peyton storming off the field isn't that big of a deal. Players aren't always obligated to stand around and shake hands. This shaking hands after the game is overrated anyways. I don't care if a player doesn't want to do that.

And it came minutes right after the loss, so I understand he was very upset.

Cam at least had a chance to compose himself a little bit. He pouted, and it was a bit immature.

I really don't mind Newton keeping his post-game remarks short. He was completely honest, and sugar-coated nothing - basically, they were outplayed. He made no excuses, and said everything that really needed to be said at the outset, so if he wasn't keen on hanging around for another 30 minutes rephrasing what he already said, so what?

Russell Wilson threw a devestating pick on the last play of the super bowl last year and as a MAN (of any color) he stood up there and answered those questions....

He can be the face of the NFL......

Good for Wilson. I just don't see it as a big deal when a young man who just lost a Super Bowl doesn't want to talk about it excessively afterwards. O think the only people who actually cared about it were journalists trying to fill airtime.

I'd have had a problem with if if he would have insulted the other team or made excuses he did neither.

He's not gonna get away with being a young man. That's not how this works...

He's the MVP. The leader of the team that just lost the super bowl. A face of the league...

Fact of the matter is these same people wanted to talk with him all week before the big game and wanted to talk with him after the big game. Win or lose... Pretty damn sure he would have been dabbing on stage if he was hoisting the trophy and would have put his face in every camera with black/blue/silver confetti falling..

It's a responsibility to his team, his city, his employer etc... If he doesn't want to do it, be paid for it, obtain notoriety for it--- then go play semi-pro football in Chino California or something...

Cam makes Cam look bad...

If you're going to be as obnoxious in victory as Cam is you at least ought to be somewhat gracious in defeat. I have no problem with Cam as a person; I certainly don't think he's a bad person, and he's a heck of a player. But yeah, he is a front-runner and has been his entire career.

I generally don't see the fascination with wanting to hear from the loser, period. All you usually get are a bunch of stupid questions that elicit the same, repetitive answers.

The fascination is seeing what kind of reaction they give you. 9 times out of 10 the player will give the correct answers and compliment the other team. I.E. boring sound bites. But that 1 time, they will show you something. They will say something or in Cam's case, not say something that will be newsworthy. Cam Newton's response is exactly why they do those interviews.

Well, okay. But if the point of the interview isn't to actually find out about the game, but rather hoping to create a separate story out of an answer, then that's even worse.

Peyton officially retiring on Monday.

I say best QB of all time. Let the hot takes commence.
