Sometime today we will know if Almonte will be kept or not since the Non-tendered day is today if I remember correctly. I don’t think it matters either way, but I think he will end up getting cut.
 
Heyman has the below article on his predictions as well as his "expert's". Speaks highly of this expert's ability to predict the contracts of free agents. Interesting to see how many of these are close. Been slow for signings so far, so Castillo only one on here, but the expert missed the Castillo contract by only $1m

Tried finding an article of Heyman's "2016 Top Free Agent Contract Predictions" to see if this expert has an actual tangible history of predictions, but could only find one with Heyman's predictions.

Expert predictions for Tribe free agents:

11. Santana: $38m over 3
14. Bruce: $40m over 3
32. Shaw: $12m over 2
47. Smith: $9m over 2

I'd say at least 2 of those get more than that.

Shaw will get 3 or 4 from someone...that's already being talked about that he has 2 3 or 3+ year offers on the table right now.

And Santana will get somewhere from 45 to 60 million over 3 I think.

I'd kill to get Santana, Shaw, and Smith back at under 60 million at no more than 3 years...that just doesn't seem realistic to me.

Shaw and Santana I definitely think get more than the expert prediction.

Think Bruce will be in that range unless the Yankees throw big money at him. Smith I think returns on a team friendly deal to stay in Cleveland.

I think Bauer will get an extension this offseason to lock him up long term. We will try to get an extra year with Allen and Chisenhall but may not work with Allen. McAllister and Salazar we will do the one year deal but maybe an extra year for McAllister.

Abe went a fair amount less than projected which is probably why we didn't non-tender him. He took a home team discount so we may as well keep him then.

Really the only spots available is the last OF spot on the roster outside of 1st base and one bullpen spot. I wonder if we will bring in a big name free agent or not.

Abe was never getting non-tendered man.

Wouldn't have made any sense.
