2017-18 Cleveland Indians Offseason

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Official per Heyman

Giants will be interesting. Still some great arms at the top of the rotation (if Cueto rebounds), some solid talent already on the roster, and now adding Longoria and McCuthen. If healthy they should be in the WC race. Don't see another 64 win season. Need to hit more than 128 home runs

My body is ready for some baseball.

I'm wondering what teams are going to fold and give in to the agents' demands here right before spring training. Someone is going to.

BTW anyone know what Boone Logan is up to?

Signed with the Brewers about a week ago. Think it was like $5m over 2 with a team option in the 2nd year

The Indians were better last year than in 2016. I don't think anyone that knows the game would disagree with that. I already stated that they played a weak field in the AL playoffs in 2016. The yankees and astros were a lot better than Boston and Toronto. Sometimes the best team doesn't always win in the postseason. if the Indians won over the Cubs, not many would say they were better. Rajai Davis even admitted that after the series.

Just because the 17 Yankees and 17 Astros were better than the 16 Blue Jays and 16 Red Sox doesn't mean the Indians played a weak field.

Better on paper doesn’t mean a whole bunch come October 2018.

Go get him.

Or is he too much $$?

Stanton can be had for peanuts but Yelich would be too much? After this window, which should be closing in a year or two, the Indians will probably trade everybody that’s still around for a glut of prospects so they can have another window in 2023-2025 or whatever. Strike while the iron is hot.

Unless they’re asking for like your top 2 prospects or something absurd, I’d heavily consider it. Am I missing something? I know it isnt gonna happen just saying I wouldn’t mind giving up a couple good prospects for him...

Thoughts? Boobie? Bimbo?
