2017 3rd annual RCF celebrity death poolwho

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
1st convert ever. 1989 at the Coliseum. I was 11. Dad took me. Lenny Kravitz opened up. The 4 hr Bogdanovich doc is excellent.

Sad to see it happen.

Around the late 70's, the game changed in terms of sheer number of celebrities. First cable TV added to the traditional 3 networks and movies. Then the internet. Then satellite TV. The ability to create micro niches of bands, films, actors, artists, etc.

The point being, every year, it is going to seem like more and more celebrities/artists are dying but the chief reason is that the mediums in which we create and maintain connections to these artists and celebrities has multiplied hundreds fold in 50 years, which creates hundredsfold more celebrities.

It's sad, especially for their families and the people they worked with and came in contact with, but it's not some "world spiraling out of control" thing.

RIP Mr Petty

Fuck...was not mentally prepared for that at all. Tom Petty was one of my favorite artists. RIP

I loved Tom Petty.

We say it every year, but fuck this year.
He will always be The King to me :(

That's Robert Guillaume. He just died.
I used to love Benson as a kid- in the way pre-internet days, you come to love whatever the hell is on TV during the day when on summer vacation- I had not a damn clue he was the butler and not the president. Apparently the guy on the show was the governor, too, not even president.

Won't be confirmed until 4:30 when there's a press conference, but it looks like Roy Halladay has died in a plane crash... Sad stuff.
