He's a guy who usually corrects that quickly, cause his mechanics, IMO, are the best in baseball. If you've seen him correct it on the fly before, and we have, its hard to not throw the Cy Young winner out there twice.

Just another weird event that had to happen to get us here.

Guy who has had flawless mechanics for the last 5 years suddenly loses them over 6 innings and can't find them. Weird.

Soooooo Cleveland.

I think by game 5 he had 90% corrected it. But he missed twice on the exact same pitch to the exact same guy. If there is one pitch i could go back to and take back from the series its the homer in the first inning. That just destroyed the teams confidence. It took them till after the game was already 3-0 to recover from the first inning home run.

Not same pitch. Misplaced fastball in 1st. Misplaced curveball in 3rd.

Still: why not Cookie twice? Why Bauer on short rest?

And why did almost every batter repeatedly shit himself?

I could have made it to the majors.
Just couldn't find my arm slot.

No. His issue was definitely mechanical. Can't buy back problems being the cause when the velocity was pretty normal on all of his pitches, as was the lateral movement on most of his pitches. He was just flat.

Sounds like he fell into a bad habit towards the end of the regular season with his mechanics when pitchers arms start to drag a bit, and just never got out of it.

Not buying this. Too much of a coincidence that he was having back issues at the same time.

It is pretty common in all sorts of athletic endeavors to change movements slightly so as to minimize the pain. In this case, he adjusted his slot to avoid the pain/discomfort. So his velocity was there, but not his normal control.

I don't think he was dealing with anymore pain than he was dealing with throughout the season. And it's typical in the baseball scouting world that loss of velocity and loss of movement is typically a sign of injury (Salazar in the 2nd half of last year, as an example), while lack of sharpness or vertical movement (or bite) is a mechanical issue...he definitely fell in the later category with what he showed in the series.

No one is 100% in October...but Kluber's always been able to hold his mechanics, even when injured or dealing with discomfort in the past (keep in mind he was not 100% in the post season last year). Not the case this year.

If Kluber was hurt, Tito and him had a good excuse to take to the media. Hard not to believe the loss of arm slot comments from Tito, when he could have went somewhere else that takes all the blame off the player and puts it on himself, which he has done many times before.

I woke up this morning dreaming that I was fingering this girl Holly I used to know in college but her puss was super tight, like pinky tight. I kept trying to force the issue, but I just could not get comfortable even though we were both into it.

When I woke up my fingers were squeezed in between my knees wiggling around.

I imagine that’s what it’s like to not be able to find your arm slot.

But you did find your arm slut.
