2017 Browns Mock Draft Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think CLE should pursue Taylor and move on from RG3 in order to raise the floor at the QB position, especially if they plan to draft another developmental QB in addition to Kessler.

Of course, if they acquire Garoppolo, they won't need Taylor; they might even hang on to McCown, who says he wants to play another year.

Bottom line the Browns CANNOT come away from the 2017 draft without our future starting quarterback. That doesn't mean we have to take a QB with the first pick, IMO Myles Garrett is a lock there, however our 12th pick or our 33rd has to bring us a QB.

Honestly we don't have to get a QB this draft at all since we gotta fix the other positions first and this isn't really a strong draft for QBs in my opinion. The highest grade any of the QBs have is kiser, who is a mid 1st round grade who is likely to go in the top 10. The kid from North Carolina and Watson are both late first grade rated so I mean none of the QBs right now are truly projected as a franchise guy, just reaches. Now if some how someone like the kid from N.Carolina is available at 33 then I'd say go for it, but right now I wouldn't

Yahoo!/Draftwire: (going to give a couple ppl we passed up on, as well. Just for debate)

1. Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett, EDGE, Texas A&M

The Browns have a later pick in the top 15 that can be used to address their biggest need. This pick is all about getting the best player in the draft, and that’s Garrett.

12. Cleveland Browns (from PHI): DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame
This is the perfect scenario for the Browns, who get the best player in the draft at No. 1, then a chance at a potential franchise quarterback here. (People taken BEFORE that we have talked about: Foster, Adams, Hooker, Lattimore, Thomas, Trubisky, Mike Williams, Cook, Fournette, Allen)

33. Cleveland Browns: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama (Passed up on people like: Schuster, Mahomes, Feeney, Justin Evans, Lawson)

50. Cleveland Browns (from TEN): Desmond King, DB, Iowa (Passed up on people like: Budda Baker, Malik McDowell, Njoku (Howard earlier though),Elflein, Tre'Davious White, TJ Watt, Curtis Samuel)

65. Cleveland Browns: Carlos Watkins, DL, Clemson (Passed up on people like: Maye, Pocic, Wormley)

I have two mock drafts ideas so I may as well say them,

One would be to stay at number 1 and 12

1st pick: Garrett
12th pick: DE Thomas (Then if not available S Adams or OT Ramczyk)
33rd pick: BPA lol so hard to say this right now

Or second idea, trade the number one pick for the 6th and 39th pick, and a 2018 first
6th pick S Hooker/Adams
12th pick DE Thomas
33 and 39 BPA

It's Hooker.

Not Booker.
