2017 Browns Mock Draft Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was more laughing at how easily you make it to troll you, not your reference to my schooling of D Wreck earlier.

All in good fun regardless, as you know.

I know you are trolling me..I was trolling you back.

And I have yet to be serious in any response I have had to Keys.

For fucks sake, my last post to him was about turning his "Thielen scenario's" into a porno...

I don't know...maybe things I say come off a bit differently in here since I've seen my team win a playoff game in this millennium.

Just random but Sam The Bullshit Whisperer is reporting that he is hearing a WR from Minnesota may be targeted by the Browns. He says his NBA western conference gm source is friends with an NFC gm. Please carry on

Sorry @Randolphkeys

Your dream is over. The Bullshit Whisperer kiss of death.

I know that you know...that's what "as you know" means. :chuckle:

If you want to troll me, veer from the Browns jabs. Nothing anyone says about this dogshit franchise could piss me off anymore.

Likewise with the Vikings...

Not from dogshit operations and constant regime changes, but from typical Vikings hearbreaks; missed FGs in playoffs, Favre INTs, Sex Boats, my former favorite player being revealed as a child beater, my new favorite player having his knee literally explode in practice on a routine drop back...

I am dead inside when it comes to pro football.

Baseball and basketball I have life...football...hell no.

"Oh, hey 'der. It's Mort drivin' 'da 13 route for Brinks. Lookin' ta talk to dispatch, over... Well 'der dispatch I got a load of cash goin' to a private residence on the lake, is 'der a name on 'dis drop, over?"

"...Oh wow, Adam. You know, I got a handshake from his cousin Cadence Theilen at after prom, but it wasn't just a handshake, don't you know, over? Yep... well I'm glad 'da Vikings treated him so good, over... What, over... What's a Flying J, some kinda toboggan, over?"

"Oh heck! I'm calling Cadence and get to da bottom of this, yeah, over... Yep, the landline, over... I'm calling Cadence Theilen on 'da LAND LINE after 'dis Flying J drop! Oh, farts, over."

CBS (Rang):

1. Cleveland Browns
Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M: The clear top need in Cleveland is at quarterback but frankly it would be a stunner if anyone other than Garrett was the first pick of the 2017 draft. He is much more agile than Emmanuel Ogbah (who led the Browns with 5.5 sacks in 2016) or Carl Nassib, early picks by Cleveland last year, boasting the combination of length, burst and bend off the edge to project as an immediate difference-maker and future All-Pro.

12. Cleveland Browns (from Philadelphia)
DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame: Whether it is a veteran (Jimmy Garoppolo?) or a rookie, the Browns cannot head into the 2017 season with their current quarterbacks (Robert Griffin III, Cody Kessler and Josh McCown) and expect to make strides in the AFC North. Kizer is raw but possesses the size, intangibles and accuracy on the deep ball to fit in well with the Browns coaching staff and current receiving corps.

BR:

1. Garrett
12. Trubisky

NFL.com (Reuter):

1. Myles Garrett - DE, Texas A&M: Cleveland can wait on getting that passer and take the player at the top of most teams' boards.

12. Deshaun Watson - QB, Clemson: Watson should be picked higher than this, but that chip on his shoulder should serve him well.

33. Cleveland Browns: Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida

52. Cleveland Browns (from Tennessee Titans): Jabrill Peppers, S, Michigan

65. Cleveland Browns: Ethan Pocic, C, LSU

103. Cleveland Browns: Eddie Vanderdoes, DT, UCLA

136. Cleveland Browns (compensation for C Alex Mack): Adam Bisnowaty, OT, Pittsburgh

139. Cleveland Browns (compensation for S Tashaun Gipson): Malachi Dupre, WR, LSU

Jabril with a late 2nd? That might not be bad value there.

Not sure I want a qb with our 12th pick, and if we take one there, not sure who i prefer to be honest. I know I dont like Kizer.

Yea, too much talent will be left on the board to pick a QB at 12, IMHO. Hopefully we trade for Jimmy and it only costs us a couple 2nd/3rd rounders.

That is my hope. I like Jimmy more than any qb in this draft.

I am on the fence about the 12th pick straight up for him. If he ends up being as good as he looked, then he is worth it. But such limmited time in the NFL, but any QB coming into the NFL has less time.

I really am torn on the whole thing. I am glad its not my decision and its up to Soupy Brown.

What do the advanced metrics say?

I don't see the Browns go QB at 12. Like, I am really, really confident they don't. I just cannot see the value of taking Kizer, Watson, or Trubisky (if he falls) as our second pick.

As far as QB is concerned, Browns should definitely draft one, however, it has to fit value. Im not sure where Davis Webb is projected, but - I like him in the later rounds, if available. I have sold out and jumped on the Davis Webb train!
