2017 Browns Off Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I mean.. this is Schefter and now also La Canfora...

How can you possibly ignore it with two reports now suggesting this is a possibility, with literally ZERO reports stating the Browns are straight up taking Myles.

I don't know, man. It seems like a no brainer that Myles is the pick. And by Sashi's press conference it really sounded like the deliberation over #1 was over and they felt comfortable in their decision. I don't think you feel that content and comfortable a week in advance of the draft if you're passing on the consensus #1 for a guy who could be drafted anywhere from #2 to the 20s.

I guess we'll disagree on this one. Since the day the season ended I've had no trouble sleeping at night knowing that Myles Garrett will be a Cleveland Brown. Schefter stirring the intrigue pot and JLC pulling his classic Browns hate don't faze me.

Well that sure is a reliable source. I retract my former statement you have now convinced me.

It feels like there is just writers trying to cause drama/ saying stuff just to try and make things more interesting. I really doubt anything they are saying is true about the number one. Now I can see if Haslem wants Trubisky/They are divided on him, how issues may happen.

Browns will trade down until they own an entire round for three years straight.

What's the most picks ever owned by a single team in a single round?

and no, I am not asking you. You have no fucking clue. Here you go lil' buddy:

LaCanfora's Haslam/Homeless man take is hot and ready to go Thursday night.

This whole rumor mill leading up to this draft makes me want to get the 89 cent Burger King Pan Cakes. That is all I take from this assuming they take Garrett first like they very well should.

How are those pancakes? I usually just stick to the French Toast sticks since those are amazing!

Honestly if this FO goes with Trubisky at number one, they will not last another season cause either that means they don't know what they are doing or Haslem got in the way again and hurt this team again. Garrett is the best player in this draft by a long shot, we have no reason to go elsewhere

I see where you are going with that, and I get your point..

But if (and it's not going to happen, just putting out a big if), the Browns take Mitch #1 and he turns out to be a stud, and Myles ends up like Courtney Brown, then they look like geniuses.

Now are those 3 things going to happen? Odds point to:

Myles not turning out like Brown.
Us not taking Mitch #1.
Mitch being a stud? TBD.

Now with that said. . .I agree, we have no reason to go elsewhere besides to call up Myles at his local Bdubs and let him know we took him #1.

I can not fucking wait. 5 more days.

Now if we feel we have to trade up to get Trubisky then I won't be 100% mad since we did set ourselves up with extra picks, but I think that would be a stretch for him, but I would think that is something I could live with since we wouldn't have to loose 33 to move up to 5

Don't want to sabotage the thread, but just another reason we all think ESPN as a whole is a fucking joke.

ESPN is expected to lay off around 100 employees this week, as the network tries to reduce costs as it deals with declining revenues thanks to cord cutting. At least one other NFL reporter, longtime Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky, has also been let go, and it’s likely that several notable names in the NFL media world will be without jobs soon.

On the eve of the NFL Draft? Nice, ESPN :fight (2)::fight (4):

ESPN realized quite a long time ago that they can pay people far less to come up with moronic takes.

The less intelligent people's takes are, the more they'll be interacted with by a public who either A. Is too dumb to know how bad the take is OR B. People who are smarter and still feel compelled to watch/yell at them via social media or some other outlet.

They've been doing this business model for a long time. Since the days of letting guys like Charley Steiner, Dan Patrick and others walk away.
