2017 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This team is really starting to fire on all cylinders, and they don't even have everyone.

I'd give Brantley as much time as is needed. Give him three/four more weeks with the thought of having a week or so before the playoffs for him to get his timing back.

Bruce has been huge. He's really solidifying the lineup. And Kipnis is quietly starting to hit.

Big props to Francona last night bringing the DJ and games into the clubhouse.
They came out loose ready to ball with energy during this long ass road trip.
6.5 up- bury this division so they can get things in order for the playoffs.

So compared to last season...

2016: 70-51
2017: 68-53

Next 10 games in 2016: 4-6

They got roughed up a little bit last year around these next 10 games and fell down to 17 over .500 before rattling off 6 in a row. So they’d need to go 6-4 over the next 10 to match where they were last year.

Tough stretch with BOS and NYY, but then they play DET, CHW, BAL, DET and KC to start September. If they can hit 20 games over .500 during that stretch and then keep climbing, I think they’re going to roll into the Postseason.

This team in perspective these 2 years are insane.

We essentially upgraded a World Series team at our worst positions...

Edwin replaced Napoli
Jackson/Zimmer replaced Naquin/Davis
Brantley is back
Bruce fills a hole
Guyer gets to be a situational key cog

Salazar/Cookie are healthy
Miller is the same phenom
Bauer is improving
Klubot is special

The final lineup when 100% will probably be 90's esque. Of course not better, but it's not far off either. We have a great attack of hitters.

The pitching... 90's Braves esque.

We deserve a World Series with a mix of those 2 teams, it's only a Cleveland fitting, and I'm so pumped.

This team, when healthy, is far better than the 90's teams. We're actually balanced, with arguably the best pitching in baseball.

We all wanted that all-star, hall-of-fame stacked lineup to win a World Series. We all expect this team to.

The best team on paper does not always go win it all, so it is up to the guys to execute what they need to do at the end of the day. We were close last season and we easily could be the best team in the American League, just gotta execute!

Pretty funny reading Mets fans comments about getting a bag of Skittles or a couple of coupons for Buce.

Tribe are sitting pretty right now up 5 on MIN, but the Twins have an opportunity to close that gap heading into September.

Remaining August schedules for each:

Indians:
4 vs. BOS / 3 vs. KC / 3 vs. NYY

Twins:
5 @ CHW / 3 @ TOR / 3 vs. CHW

The Twins are irrelevant, so are the Royals. No need to worry about what they're doing.
