He started today to give the starters an extra days rest heading into the playoffs.

He's on a pitch count because he's coming off an injury. They're trying to build his arm back up and help him find his timing. This was basically a rehab start....

im not ready to celebrate quite yet. Yeah the astros have a much more difficult path but a 3 game lead (basically) with still 9 games to play isnt that great of a margin. A week from now and the indians still have that lead and i agree the indians almost have it... but...

but ...jesus since August 24th the indians have covered 20 games against the dodgers. strange things happen.
