2017 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We'll have to see where Myles Garrett's combine numbers come in, but here's Bruce Feldman's freaks article from last summer:

Imo he's a better prospect than Clowney in just about every way, and that's no disrespect to Clowney.
Man..too bad Malik Hooker is moving up the board fast and will not be available at pick # 12. He is another freak. The though of Garrett and Hooker in the 1st round is just too much..It would be the greatest 1st round draft in Browns history.

if only the Eagles pick could have gotten down to like 6....either way there will be studs available at 12

starting to think about Garrett and Soloman Thomas....with Thomas being the 3 technique next to Shelton and ogbah and Garrett at DE....now that would be a scary D-line wow

Really need to look secondary on top of Dline.

Garrett is by far best, have to take, but our secondary needs major help and we will be in a nickel or dime 80% of the time.

My "wishful thinking" draft

1. Myles Garrett, Edge, Texas A&M
12. Solomon Thomas, DL, Stanford
33. OJ Howard, TE, Alabama
50. Patrick Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech

Yeah, that's something that gives me feelings.

What does everyone think Hue wants out of his QB? His reaction to the RG3 signing versus the Kessler pick (as well as McCarron and even Dalton to some extent in Cinci) seem to say two completely different things. If he is really looking for more accurate Alex Smith type game manager QB's, I can't see Mahomes being the pick.

Hard to say what Hue's looking for. From what I can tell, Hue has been directly responsible for acquiring Carson Palmer, Robert Griffin III and Cody Kessler. Those are three pretty different styles of QB.

Hue inherited Andy Dalton in Cincinnati. Dalton was already a 3-year starter that wasn't going anywhere when he took over, so that wasn't really his choice. McCarron was a 5th rounder who never would have played outside of injuries so I wouldn't say that was Hue's guy either.

Honestly as funny as it sounds I think we need to avoid going QB in the first two rounds in my opinion. Our Defense stunk and our OLine wasn't all that good either. To me resigning Collins and Pryor are a must since that is two less we have to worry about in the draft.

To me our draft needs are Defense and OLine anything else is after that. So if we stay at one we gotta go with Garrett since he is the best player in the draft. I wouldn't even bring opposed to using our number 12 pick on a RT that can help out our OLine and be the successor to Thomas in due time.

This may sound funny but would you guys be opposed to trading our number one pick to the Jets for the 6th pick, the number 39 pick and likely a 2018 first round pick? This would give us pick 6, pick 12, pick 33, pick 39 and pick 52

I know some people do not want to trade down but it's possible since the Jets do want to get their QB and San Fran and The Bears are the other teams that could draft a QB right away. We would miss out on Garrett, but it's likely that One of the safeties in Adams/Booker will be available at 6 so we would still get a high value need. QBs often times go higher than expected so would you guys be willing to make a move like this if offered?

No. I want Garrett. Would rather trade 12 and the titans pick to move up to get a S

It is possible we can move pick 12 and 52 to get pick 7 and a 5th round pick type of deal. That should net us Adams or Booker (with current mock drafts) since it's likely one is on the board at 7 depending on how people are drafting. Then who are we going after with 33?
