2017 Draft Prospects

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cavs are going to have some potentially interesting undrafted rookies to choose from.
Favourite time of the year!

Boston gets the best player in the draft:

Fultz is a future star - reminds me of Harden/Wade. Celtics will easily be the biggest challenge to the Cavs going forward.

I really hope celtics are not going to be the best team in the east.. I will just stop watching the NBA.

He is not going to be the best player in this draft though. He lacks explosion and elite ball handling.

they'll be the best team until lebron vanquishes them like he does everyone and then all of a sudden they'll be another overrated team that lebron beats up on in a "weak east"

I meant after Lebron declines.. i hate them with passion and the Nba seems to love the Celtics.

By the time LeBron declines, Horford will be in his mid-30's, and Crowder/Thomas/Bradley won't be on good contracts while also being in their 30's.

For all this talk of the Celtics holding onto their assets because they were waiting out LeBron, their best assets are going to expire before LeBron does.

Yep. The time to make their move is now. Draft the best player available and figure out a way to get Butler or George on the team next season.

Waiting for Lebron's proverbial decline is futile. LBJ could easily still be a top 5 player in this league in six years.

No they won't. Philadelphia will be. Just ask them. Or rather, ask Embiid.
Add Milwaukee to that list, too. I think all three teams are going to be really good - especially if Boston takes Fultz - as they age into their primes.

Milwaukee and Boston, yes. Philly... not so much no matter what Embiid says. My comment was more a crack on him and him saying next year they will be ready to battle the Cavs.

How about first of all, you play in at least 70 games young man? Then, how about you help your team get playoff eligible. Then hope the rest of your team stays mostly healthy.

Maybe those should be more realistic goals. His team has talent, sure, but I don't think they have all the pieces together to content just yet.

Yeah, I mean, I don't think any of those three are really going to contend with the Cavs in the next two years.

Embiid's health will be the big thing. If he can stay healthy, Simmons is a good playmaking forward, Saric continues playing as an elite passing big, and the Sixers have two more good drafts, then I can absolutely see them competing to win the East. The only one of those requirements I am unsure about is Embiid's health. Unfortunately, that's also the most important one.

a healthy Embiid has the potential to be historically great, IMO. Franchise-changing player who could affect things unpredictably. But that's a huge if. Looking at the past few years the odds have to be that he can't stay on the court.

HOnestly Ainge ended up being right hanging onto everything. Fultz is their best asset now.

Brown is the future, so let's see what they do with Crowder and that 2018 Nets pick this summer. If they can turn that into something? That has the potential to be a pretty scary team.

I don't really agree. I still think they'd be best served trading the pick.

Jaron Blossomgame. Older guy (23) with good size who is telling teams he can be their Andre Iguodala, so he knows his role. He's currently projected to go 53. He might not be a bad guy for the Cavs to see if they can jump into the draft and nab late.
