2017 Game #2 | #2 Ohio State vs. #5 Oklahoma | September 9th, 2017 @ 7:30 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
They have to think about Martell? Barrett is just petrified of throwing on time. He had to see it and think it through too much.

But man, it wont matter unless we get drastic improvement from the DBs.

That pretty much sums it up perfectly. JT clearly isn't as confident in his receivers, and his decision-making looks to have slowed as well. And the receivers are meh.

I'm a fan, but more casual than with the pro teams. Is there a freshman or sophomore whom Urban might give a shot at QB if JT continues to suck?

If Burrow wasn't hurt, maybe.

Think Haskins is the best pure QB on the team, but there's no way Urban takes JT out for him.

Can't believe this guy raped the Buckeyes so badly.

I don't know why we don't see any slips/tunnels/bubbles or any other type of quick hitters. Why roll JT to the boundary?

It's early, but offense looks predictable and vanilla at this point.

Because our WRs struggle getting open and we call a bunch intermediate to long routs.
I agree with you. Almost wonder if Zach Smith has the ability to get the best out of the receivers. Seems like he is too concerned with subtweeting instead of maximizing the wealth of receiver talent.

No idea.

The 4th and 4 play to start the 4th quarter was so mind-numbingly stupid.

Your WRs already can't get open, all rolling out does is give them less space to get open.

Where's Demario McCall? Where are the stretch power runs with the pulling guard we used to run with Zeke and Hyde? Where are the downfield shots we used to take to Devin Smith? Where's the constant jet sweep action to misdirect opposing defenses? And where is the tempo that used to get to the line before the opposing team had their defense set?

Just a lot of weird stuff going on. Kind of like they are stuck between 2 different systems and styles right now.

This team still has Urban Meyer and a bunch of 4 and 5 star recruits. If they win out, they'll make the CFB playoff easily.

Now, they have a shit ton of improving to do, but I wouldn't bury them yet.

Plus, we owe revenge to PSU and it'd be fun to push hairball to 0-3.

Agreed on those last points, but I'd be shocked if we made a CFP push. Happened in 2014 though... guess we'll see.

Odds certainly aren't in our favor, for sure.

So what to make of Mayfield's victory lap and then planting OU flag on the O at midfield?

What about it? They didnt like Carmen Ohio at their stadium... this is their retaliation... whatever. I'm sure somebody will eventually inform them we do Carmen Ohio every game.

Bubble screens are fine once in a while, but are usually a wasted down. Just like that fucking speed option they love so much. He has plenty of time to throw intermediate routes. A 15 yard post or dig should come out right on the last step of his drop. But nothing ever comes out right on the last step of his drop. And you can't tell me that the receivers can't get open. 4 and 5 star recruits know how to run a fucking post. The QB just has to sack up and throw the ball.
