2017 Game #8 | #6 Ohio State @ Iowa | November 4th, 2017 @ 3:30 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sparty next week is for the division.

I know, but he’s won the Big Ten once? That’s really bad dude. Him, and the program, are trending in the wrong direction.

I agree we cant do better than him, just saying. He cant hold Sabans jock.

True. It'd be twice if the ban wasn't a factor though. Some of that is also because there have been some other great Big 10 teams. I mean we didn't even win the Big 10 in 2015 when we went 12-1. Tough to use the fact that we only have won 1 against him IMO, but you are right.

I just feel like losing games by 30 pts at OSU is unacceptable with this talent level. And hes now done it twice recently.

That 2015 team was absolutely LOADED and underachieved all year and ended up losing to a good-but-not-great Sparty team. It's his most inexcusable season imo.

Just throwing this out there. Tressel was like a God at OSU yet Urban has somehow performed better. Let's keep things in perspective. We have definitely had some disappointing and shocking losses. But everyone does (expect Saban at Alabama).

Jim Tressel win % at OSU - .828 (106-22)
Urban Meyer win % at OSU - .894 (68-8)

At this current winning percentage, Urban would be on pace to be 114-14 if he coaches an equal amount of games as Tressel.

Also, last year we went to the playoff. That's better than winning the Big 10.

He ain't Saban but he's still great.

Tonight was not acceptable, though.

True.

2014 was just so amazing. Wish we could see it again.

My biggest issue to this day with him is actually in the close loss vs MSU when Zeke seemed to barely touch the ball. I don't know how much say he has in the offensive play calling, but that still bugs me.

I am not seeing the same talent as others are this year apparently. I keep hearing about the talent, but I am not seeing it. I think our WR's blow and our pass defense is just awful. They have been shredded way too often this year.

I am actually more upset with this current group of talent (which is on Urban) than I am how they are performing (meaning I don't think they are underperforming or that I think it's a coaching issue). I guess I just never expected much this season. They've just lost too much premier talent to the NFL over the past 2 years to keep being dominant this year IMO. The only team that can seem to do that over and over and over again is Alabama. But even Alabama hasn't lost as much premier talent as we have the past 2-3 years.

I agree that season was disappointing since we won in 2014 and returned so many of our top players. But again, I am just trying to be realistic here... if a 12-1 season with a Fiesta Bowl victory is Urban's most "inexcusable season," that should tell you... 1. How good he is and 2. How ridiculously high our expectations are for OSU.

Ok fuck it win out and win the B1G ill be happy.

Just doubt that happens.

Yeah, agreed on both accounts. It's obvious this team is very flawed. PSU win was great but this just was never a National Championship team. Winning the Big 10 would be a success for this team.

If my dad didn't have a dick, what kind of man would he be?

What a stupid fucking statement. Recruiting is part of the whole package in college sports.

It's a hypothetical.

Because from a pure coaching standpoint he just isn't fucking good. He gets bailed out because he has athletes that are better than anyone else's.

Urban < His players

He is great when his players are great, when they are down, he counts on them to dig themselves out of it. Example, he told JT to go out there and win it last week iirc. Urban is not a coach whom can coach you out of a hole.
