2017 Game #8 | #6 Ohio State @ Iowa | November 4th, 2017 @ 3:30 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I remember hearing and saying after the Clemson loss 31-0 that this would never happen again at Ohio State, and that it isn't acceptable. While we didn't get shut out, that game was equally as embarrassing IMO. Little did I know it'd happen again 8 months later.
It's more embarrassing. Way more. We just lost by 31 to a fucking mediocre team. That is way worse than losing by 31 to a National Champion.

I agree. I was just preemptively defending myself against people freaking out and saying the Clemson loss was way worse because we got shutout, or whatever. :chuckle:

This loss was definitely more embarrassing.

Oh, I see. I could give a fuck about shutout. Point differential is point differential. A 51-20 loss to Clemson is not any better than a 31-0 loss.

After Clemson, we were told shit would be fixed. After Oklahoma, we were told shit would be fixed. Now Iowa...

Trending downward with this team right now.

I believe as OSU fans were are pretty lucky as fan bases go. We have a great coach that knows how to recruit and develop talent. As long as Meyer is there, OSU will have great talent. That said, these blowout loses are getting disturbing. There is no reason to be beaten down by a mediocre Iowa team like that. I feel like Deshaun Watson and Baker Mayfield are at least great college quarterbacks. The same can't be said for Iowa's QB. I found the loss Saturday to be the most disturbing in Urban's OSU tenure. It is hard to say how this team will respond. The Big Ten championship is still within their grasp. I hope they are motivated to play well and finish the season strong. I can't offer much else right now.

I agree on everything here. I am very thankful to have Meyer, and talent wise we are second to none with him at the helm. That begs the question though...why are we losing by 30 points multiple times in a calendar year?
