Shocked that four out of the previous five posts in here were made by complete fucking assholes looking to troll.
Shocked that your dumb ass still thinks people care about your fetish for playing deputy dress-up.

I think people are just sick of the Indians annual choke job.

But really, 68 people chose the Indians to win the WS, 3 chose Houston, 1 chose LA. It just shows how badly we overrate our own team. Same reason people picked the Browns to go 7-9 or 8-8 this year. Objectively 2016 was our best chance to win to be honest.

Personally, I think the Tribe deserves to be called out for their collapse against the Yankees. They were well positioned to make a strong run and just folded. It is more than shrugging your shoulders and saying "it's just baseball". As for 2016 being their best chance, we'll have to see what moves are made this off season. They have some decisions to make and we'll have to see how it plays out.

You know, I said the same thing after being bounced out of the ALDS in 1996 to the Orioles . ‘95 was our best chance... then ‘97 happened.

Credit to the Astros because they were the most consistent team all year... Indians and Dodgers both had runs of dominance throughout the year to boost their records—but, the Astros, with no bullpen, 1 ace caliber pitcher (for 80% of the season) and a damn good offense played pretty consistently throughout...

Absolutely love some of their young talent and that was an all time classic World Series... Probably the best since 2001 or 2002 ?

Maybe the Browns are Astroing ?

Yeah, that is a good point and post. The playoffs were weird back in 96 though. The Tribe had to play the first two games in Baltimore and then would come back home for the last three games. They call that home field advantage but it was a bad setup for them. 1997 really did seem like a miracle run since it was the first year after Belle left and the Indians were mediocre for most of the season.

Not that it matters now, but I thought the Dodgers were the best and most consistent team throughout the season. They had that terrible losing streak in early September. Otherwise, they dominated all year. But, as you stated, congrats to the Astros. They had their chance and they grabbed it. It must be exciting for that city.

Congrats to fucking Verlander and the fucking Astros. I honestly couldn't stomach watching a game of baseball after the Indians choked.

Time to get ready for next year.
