Don't make me go Undertaker on your ass and grave dig...you'll lose that buried alive match...

I thought he went by both, but I will consider refraining from calling him JRam anymore in favor of the nickname that sounds like the unfortunate punchline to a 9th grade movie date anecdote

Do tell.

J-ram?

Mirorich I like ya man, but why mess with success? Stinky P is already one of the best nicknames in baseball we don't need to reinvent the wheel here
Stinky P is an awful nickname with a good origin- i prefer Bebe Angrandado to get the point across.

As Francona said, Clevenger really "competed" out there -- actually a lot of fun to watch him fighting to hang in there. That should do an awful lot for his confidence -- almost more than being dominant. Can't believe he was that crappy but only gave up 2 runs.

It really is amazing. Those first two innings he had no control over pitch placement.

Giving up only two runs is a goddamn miracle.

He reverted back to what he did last season at the MLB level last night. Nibbled around the corners after giving up some early hits. Some of his walks, which were his big issue last night (control in general), were just a hair off the corner.

Just needs to keep attacking hitters like he has been up to last night...hopefully "competing" and nearly tossing a quality start after he got hit around early shows that to him, but the lead off HR got to him a bit last night I'd bet.

But his off speed stuff looks so much better this year than last year. Slider and change are now plus pitches...big reason for his improvement.

He did nibble after that homerun -- I think he got a bit gun shy.

But it was more than that -- the pitches on the hit batters clearly got away from him. It also looked like he had a lot of late movement on all his pitches -- more than usual. Maybe it was his grip due to sweat or something.

It was still kind of fun to watch. He was clearly getting pissed, but he never his focus and kept fighting.
