2017 Series 32 | Indians @ Red Sox

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I still believe Bauer's best years are ahead of him. The kid was drafted high for a reason. Right now he's a backend guy on one of the best rotations in baseball, but he's been improving each year and is only 26.

May I remind everyone where Kluber and Carrasco were at 26? Both were barely big leaguers. I'm all in on Bauer.

Agreed.

Trevor Bauer can do absolutely no wrong in my eyes in terms of performance, especially while Calloway is working with him. There's just too much talent if he overcomes his science baseball brain.

Bauer would be a lot better if he were Kluber.

Since May 30th, which is when Bauer mentioned that he was going to start throwing his curve more (and he's thrown more curves than anyone in baseball since that point, I believe):

7-4, 3.74 ERA, 77 IP, 85 K

And that's including that 4 ER in 0.2 IP clunker against Oakland.

Seems like a young guy who has turned the corner the last few months. Hopefully fans will start enjoying his starts, instead of lamenting them for some reason.

I said Bruce would help EE get is swing and power back... I told no one so but I know if Bruce and EE can keep this up, I am excited. Oh Bauer became a man again.

100% agree. I posted this before the season.

Just a little point of reference to show how young Bauer still is.

He's coming off his age-25 season where he posted 2.7 fWAR in his 3rd season as a rotation member for the Indians.

Carlos Carrasco didn't even have an age-25 season because he was recovering from Tommy John surgery. He returned in his age-26 season to the tune of a 6.75 ERA in 15 appearances, and in his age-27 season he was relegated to the bullpen after a slow start before finding himself, and pitching like an ace down the stretch.

Bauer has a lot of time to figure things out, and he's already a solid pitcher.

Add in Kluber, who you mentioned, and his 67.1 IP through his age-26 season, along with him actually being younger than Clevinger, and there's no reason to be anything but excited about Bauer as he continues to evolve as a pitcher.

Dude what

Bauer would be a lot better if he were Kluber.

If he can lower his RiMR% to a reasonable number and keep his pCKR up, we've got a serious #4 guy.

True. Looks like he dropped sHYT runs by .6% From his last 2 starts.
