2017 Series #35 -|- Indians @ Rays -|- August 10th-13th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Our shitty offense should put up more than one run per game so that our pitching staff doesn't always have a metric fuckton of pressure on them.
you said it 1 run a game isn't going to win many games...these guys are better than this...they should be embarrassed with the performances they've been giving. You'd think just by luck they could score a few more runs

I'll take it easy tonight, strange baseball team for a damn sure.

Plus side Salazar had another quality start surrendering 1 run, the bullpen is on a rough stretch minus their leader.

Down side, this offense is on a pathetic run of their own. We're having chances, just not delivering.

I guess I'll disagree, I think 11 base runners in 5.1 innings with only 1 run is more luck than anything. Everyone salivates over his Ks, ignoring that the book on him is to swing at that breaking ball bc he does hang them and when he does they get catapulted. He is just a modern day Matt Clement.

Everyone knows this but with Miller down and two stars and one up coming with Chiz, Then you have to get Kip back into it while adding Smith and Bruce... This seems a lot like the Cavs where it needs to come together soon like it did when they won it all. I know two different sports. However in baseball it is not predicted and at any time a team can go on fire. I assume when healthy yet again and all signs point till we will be. This team just needs to play well to get that devision title. I would rather the team hit a stride later than earlier.

At least the Royals keep losing
Well it really wouldn't matter if its the Twins or Royals who pass them

That is true of course. But, I just don't see that happening. As frustrating as the Tribe is now, I'd much rather have injuries and slumps occur now than in October. That said, the Tribe isn't giving us much reason to believe they'll make a deep October run even if we all know anything can happen once the postseason starts. If their key players are healthy, I still think they will be a tough out in October.

Liking the lineup today.

Austin Jackson was a damn good top of the order hitter for Detroit a while back, if his great season can continue then he's good where he's at.

Zimmer gets bumped down is also good considering his recent struggles.

Lindor is probably my favorite leadoff hitter finishing the year. He's a tough out and can easily set the table up.

I'll be interested in trying this lineup a few games vs RHP:

Lindor SS
Jose 2B
Brantley LF
EE DH
Bruce RF
Lonnie CF
Santana 1B
Gomes C
Gio 3B

EE and Bruce with 2 HR's each tonight. Have a feeling. (Always optimistic) Go Tribe!
