2017 Series #4 -|- Indians vs. Tigers -|- April 14th, 15th, and 16th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Amazing... we've hit balls harder than all of each of those hits for double plays today

Nice Easter gift Zach

When it rains, it pours for this team. Only a few guys are standing out.

thought these guys would be on a mission following the World Series but they are really playing uninspired baseball

Bimbo saying he was gone until June was awful.

Hot takes galore.

Of course whenever somebody struggles it's because they're "uninspired" or "lacking energy."

It's not like this is a sport where failure is actually expected every time somebody steps to the plate.

Lost a game of inches today.

Hopefully we can string some wins together this week

Tito's stubbornness is really frustrating. Bench Gomes. Stay away from Shaw when you're behind (but go to him when up).

To win the central, you need to beat up on a team, and then stay up on everyone else. We did it with Detroit. They've done it with us.

Just a god awful start.

Have to say, didn't see this start coming. Especially after the Rangers series.

Same.

With everyone saying the Indians would run away with the Central though, you knew a start like this was coming.

I am not all that worried to be honest since they have been getting on base and playing fair good defense. They will right the ship and will probably be very strong at the end of the season. Gomes nor Perez is hitting sadly, so we do need them to step it up, but part of me says they need to change their approach and just worry about hitting it essentially the other way and just stay on the ball rather than try and get the hit.

I cannot believe it is April 17th and the Indians season is already over... When does college football begin???

Gotta hit and the 4-5 starters need to get their heads out of their asses.

Also, when Kipnis comes back, what's the lineup? I want Lindor, Brantley and Ramirez to get their at bats...Santana bumped to 5 maybe?

Dunno

Nobody knows what the lineup will be with Kipnis in the mix. Odds are, it looks something like:

  1. Santana (S)
  2. Kipnis (L)
  3. Lindor (S)
  4. Encarnacion (R)
  5. Ramirez (S)
  6. Brantley (L)
  7. Chiz/Guyer (L/R)
  8. Gomes/Perez
  9. Insert CF Here
With the possibility of Kipnis hitting 6, and Brantley staying up top, maybe Lindor 2, Brantley 3.

You want to keep your switch hitters spread out to prevent Lefty/Righty bullpen effectiveness.

We could also do Kipnis One, Lindor 2, Brantley 3, EE 4, Santana 5 and Ramirez 6 and the rest is self explanatory
