After the success our team has had with Carlos at 1, I think he's set in stone barring any catastrophic slump.

Santana has had two positions in the lineup where career wise he has done very well, 1st spot and the 5th spot in the lineup. Kipnis is also a threat to steal unlike Santana, so that is another factor as well. I like Santana at leadoff myself, but Kipnis has also always produced at one spot as well.
