Michael Martinez has the lowest OPS and OPS+ in the 2000s out of all hitters with at least 500 ABs I believe, and is one of the worst hitters in baseball history period, statistically.

No one has ever been as bad as him, or even close to as bad as him, even Ramirez in his earlier seasons...even shitty Trevor Crowe was a better hitter than Martinez...

Most of the guys are looking pretty good hitting wise this spring, even your best friend Martinez! :p but in all sincerity we will have an extremely good season if everyone keeps batting as well as they have been in spring. I mean it's weird on any team when a guy is batting .389 trying to get a bench spot and he doesn't even get it lol

Anyone watch the game? What was wrong with Kluber? I saw him start and he was dialed in? Just tuning up pitches or did he genuinely get shelled?

As with most of our guys, they got shelled once or twice. But it's only pre-season so it happens. It's best if we erase it from our memory.
 
Kluber was most likely throwing basic pitches. I doubt he was digging in and throwing mean hooks. I imagine these guys are just chomping at the bit to get their names called opening day and go out and compete.

since I haven't been able to watch much, how has Gomes looked at the dish this spring? How's his swing? Sorry if someone already discussed it but I don't recall seeing it specifically mentioned.

Dude had an absolute freak season.
