2017 Trade Deadline

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kinsler has about $4m left on his deal this year and $10m next year or a $5m buyout

Milwaukee has been linked. Curious if the Indians would be interested with Kipnis going down.

Brandon Phillips cleared waivers today. What are your thoughts on him coming here if Kip needs to be shut down?

It'll be smart to shut Kip down and focus on getting 100% healthy. @EdMonix11 was on to something and took some flack for it lol

But it was no secret his timing in the batters box was A ball level. Definitely wasn't the Kip of last season. I don't know if Indians will shut him down, but I at least hope they give him a long assignment to restore some confidence in his approach.

I'd definitely be interested. Would prefer Kinsler but he's probably unrealistic with the money he's owed next year.

Phillips is free agent this summer and Cincinnati is paying the majority of what's left on his deal for this year. Braves have a top 2B prospect I would think they'd be interested in playing the last few weeks of the year, so I assume they're motivated to move him. Who knows if ownership and Phillips want a reunion.

On paper Kinsler or Phillips would make sense cause of Kipnis not being healthy. Now Kinsler and Phiilips have little experience in the pros at other positions so it is really hard to say if they could be good in an utility role, but right now, I would like them for the stretch run.

Jeffrey Loria is a dickhead. He backloaded every single contract on the books in anticipation of putting his team up for sale. He's selling his team for $1.2 billion and they're on pace to lose $70 million this year. Their payroll is going to skyrocket very very soon due to said contracts too. Jeter is gonna lose his investors a fuck ton of money.

Come 2020, they should be able to get a new TV deal that is a much more respectable number. Right now they make $20m/yr while the likes of San Diego make $70m.

But yeah, the franchise is pretty doomed across the board for the short-term. I'm sure fans are thrilled to finally be rid of Loria though.

Dodgers aren't going away.

Indians will have to make them.
