2018-19 Season Game #2 | Cleveland Cavaliers @ Minnesota Timberwolves | October 19th, 2018 @ 8:00 PM

can we stop pretending that Lebron didn't control everything that happened on the court.

He did, but Lue controlled who was on the court. There was no reason J.R. Smith should have been playing over Osman last season, even if Osman didn't get the chance to show his whole game as often with LeBron stopping the ball.

Let it go. Lue makes great half time adjustments and you bash him for last season.

Its not a commendation of Lue if the argument is he couldnt stand up to his best player and play his own guys...
oh.. you mean for an organization he held hostage contractually for 4 seasons.

Once again Coach lue with LeBron is a completely different coach and era.

Miami had Pat Riley backing his coach and Lebron was locked in contractually.

your not this naive

I've bashed him since 2017. Now, maybe LeBron ignored his adjustments over the last few years and now he'll show his genius there, but the defense is still horrendous, and if he won't fix it, he's got to go.

Clearly he wasnt holding Lue hsotage cause LeBron left and Lue remained.

His ball handling and passing were the most noticeable thing last year when hed get the ball.

He just wasn't allowed to have the ball hardly ever.

Lue messed up. As usual.

Sure, Rich.

So I credit Lues offense with scoring 120 + with a team handicapped by Hill, Hood and TT.. I will be shocked if TT continues to double double, but will take that windfall.

However a defense that gives up 133... is no defense at all really. I had hoped we would get the W here, but as it stands it's looking like the pundits have it right.

I am not pro tank. And I like the fight in this team.. but we have a long way to go..

I thought our defense was going to improve w/out LJ sandbagging it? Anyways, I want to see how we play against a bad team, that will really tell us how our year is going to go.

Awful lot of over reaction to everything not perfect on these boards. This roster has the tools to be a fringe playoff team easily this season. If that is less than you expected sorry. If that is more than you expect, than you will be surprised I guess. As contracts fall off and after a couple of seasons with Sexton,Nance and Cedi the key pieces of the core with likely trades made for other assets be it current players or draft assets to finish the retool there is plenty to be optimistic about. Sexton and Cedi are definitely better players than given credit for prior to the season, and we are already seeing flashes from Sexton and solid consistency of off-season improvement from Osman.
What I like the most about the young core is they all have excellent work ethic.
This is a perfect situation for them playing with Love and other solid vets in meaningful games. we lost a couple games against very solid rosters that we could beat as the season rolls on and our chemistry is better.
